yamaha amp
The Yamaha guitar amplifiers have received many kudos and awards since they were introduced a couple years ago. They are modelling amplifiers and perfect for the home studio or mobile musician.

Here, my francophone counterpart, Marc-Andre Seguin takes the THR10C for a spin.

These are modelling amplifiers, so you get more than one amplifier (5) in one box. They also have 8 onboard effects, Aux In, and are battery powered. The USB connection allows you to record direct to your computer over 2 stereo channels – one with the amp signal and one dry. You can even use the amp as a speaker system for your computer or portable device if you like.

There are a number of sizes and models in the THR series for both acoustic and electric guitar players – giving you a selection of tones that would make both the clean-tone jazzer and overdriven-tone shredder happy.

For those of you who already own a THR amplifier, Yamaha has just released a new firmware update for all their amps. Head to Yamaha.com/thr for details.
