Christmas time should be a time of joy and happiness for everyone – including the musician on your list. Let me tell you from experience, that coffee cup with musical symbols and that piano keyboard scarf are NOT what he or she will be happy to see on Christmas morning. Never fear, I’ve got some ideas from the Best Buy selection that will bring a smile to that muse’s face this December.
Percussion Fun
Whether you’re a pro at hitting things at regular time intervals or just tap your toes, everyone can get in on the fun with percussion accessories. Best Buy has a selection of drumsticks, egg shakers, maracas and other assorted percussion toys to make your percussionist happy!
Much like a guitarist can never have enough picks, a drummer can never have too many drumsticks. Best Buy has a few different brands to consider.
Percussionists, kids and noise-makers are always looking for different ways to make interesting sounds to imbed in their rhythms and beats. You can get them started by looking through some of the world percussion instruments that Best Buy has to offer!
Maracas and egg shakers are fantastic little hand-held rhythm instruments that are easy to pick up and join in the fun. My kids loved these and I find myself borrowing these instruments to help add some life to music tracks I create.
Tamborines, Cabasas and Guiros are also great fun to try out and add something different to the rhythm track. You can also try out some of the smaller world drums like a set of bongos or a Djembe.
The Axe-Slinger
What do you get the guitarist on your list? Guitars themselves can be quite expensive and buying one is (and probably should be) a personal experience. Have no fear though, there are quite a few things that the string-twanger on your list will appreciate.
