Many gamers I know either love their gaming chair or lament not having a really good one. Gaming is not an activity you can just get up from every half hour to stretch and reset.   1. If you’re going to game for long sessions, at least make a healthier habit out of it. Keep yourself hydrated and have some healthy snacks on hand. Together these contribute to the natural bodily need of having to take a break, which can help to rest your eyes and get up from your spot.

  2. I think it’s so important to set a timer and get up to do some stretching every hour!

  3. Gamers who play for a long time can stay healthy by stopping gaming for a bit and going for a walk or a run.

  4. Stand up and play the games; drink water; and every hour have eye breaks where you stare in the distance for at least a minute.

  5. Gamers who play for long hours at at a time can stay healthy by mounting their monitor to a treadmill.

  6. Get up and move around every 20 minutes or so, even to just get a drink of water to stay hydrated.

  7. When sitting for long periods it is important to stay hydrated and do stretching exercises.

  8. Get up every 30 minutes and stretch your legs. Give your eyes a break by looking away from the screen for a short time.

  9. Set a timer to take a break. Honour your body and your commitment to staying healthy by getting up and stretching/moving.

  10. adjust height of chair, desk, distance to screen (many recommendations online for the best fit)
    take breaks – walk, stretch, drink, talk to real humans

  11. Stagger your playing time and do some things around the house so your not just sitting for hours.

  12. Recline your chair, lay back and relax, a lot easier than sitting straight up and being all tensed up.

  13. Lots of walking breaks! At least once an hour is recommended. My fitness watch has an alarm that beeps if I sit too long.

  14. Take some time each day to get in at least 45 minutes of exercise per day – even if just a walk.
