Cuisinart Everlasting Cookware Set The perfect cookware set with a variety of saucepans and skillets makes a world of difference when cooking a meal. Over the years, I have progressed from having a makeshift set of pots and pans to purchasing a good quality set that will last years. Today I’m looking at the Cuisinart Everlasting stainless cookware set.

Testing out the Cuisinart Everlasting set

Cuisinart cookware in useEach piece of the Cuisinart Everlasting cookware set comes individually packaged in plastic with protective cardboard between the pieces. After removing the cookware from its packaging, I removed the stickers from the glass lids and the labels that were attached to the handles and washed them with warm water and a mild dish soap. I then rinsed them well and dried them with a soft dishtowel. I then took a quick read through the use and care guide to get all the details and special instructions for this specific cookware.

I first filled the 2-quart saucepan with water to hard boil some eggs for my weekly meal prep and heated up the 8-inch and 10-inch non-stick skillets to cook my son his weekend breakfast sandwich. I have a gas stove and found that both the saucepan and skillet heated quickly. In the 10-inch skillet, I placed a buttered bun to toast and added some salami to crisp up. In the 8-inch skillet I cracked an egg to fry up. I used no added oils or butter to cook the egg as I wanted to test out the quality of the non-stick. I was able to easily slide my spatula under the egg and flip it with no sticking. Once all the breakfast sandwich fixings were ready, I simply held the skillet by the handle and slid the fried egg right onto the prepared bun, no spatula required.

Cuisinart saucepan in useI love that this set also includes a 6-quart stockpot and sauté pan. The stockpot is great for soups and stews or for cooking a larger meal if you have guests over. In a pinch, the sauté pan can also be used as a skillet or saucepan as it has higher sides. The glass lids allow you to keep a close eye on your food as it cooks, too.

This cookware is made with an aluminum core, a non-stick coating, and has contoured stainless steel handles with tight fitting glass lids to seal in flavour. All the cookware is safe for cooking on gas, electric, halogen, ceramic, glass top and induction cooktops. For best results be sure to choose the burner size that matches the diameter of the bottom of the pan. If you’re using gas like I do, then make certain that the flames are only directly on the bottom of the pan or skillet and not extending up the sides. If this is happening when you are cooking, energy is being wasted.

I think it’s great that the cookware pieces are dishwasher and metal utensil safe for anyone who prefers but, in the use and care guide, it does say plastic or wooden utensils are recommended. I personally like to wash my saucepans and frying pans by hand with warm soapy water and maybe that’s just because they take up too much space in the dishwasher. Be sure to let them cool completely before washing by hand or placing in the dishwasher. You’ll find the non-stick coating makes washing them quick and easy too.

To store your cookware, you can carefully place them in a cupboard, being mindful not to scratch the interior if you must stack them. Another option is to hang them conveniently and safely by the handles if you have a cookware rack.

Notes about the Cuisinart Everlasting cookware

Cuisinart non-stickYou can use oil or butter to add flavour to your foods while cooking but you will only require a small amount. Please don’t use cooking sprays as that can cause a residue to build up on the cooking surface over time.

The cookware is oven safe up to 350°F but note that this will cause the handle as well as the cookware to become hot so use oven mitts when removing them from the oven. While the cookware is oven safe, it is not broiler safe.

Should you be washing your saucepans and skillets by hand, only use a sponge or soft dishcloth. Steel wool or other abrasive pads may scratch and cause damage to the non-stick coating.

Because of the aluminum core you’ll notice how quickly your saucepans and skillets heat up, I sure did. This means you won’t need to use high heat for cooking, medium-high was hot enough to quickly boil water.

Final thoughts on the Cuisinart Everlasting cookware set

Cuisinart saucepans and skilletsThe first thing I noticed about the Cuisinart Everlasting Cookware when I was unboxing it was how lightweight the pieces were and how the contoured handles made them easy to hold. If you use cast iron in your home, you know how nice it is to also have the option of some lightweight cookware.

While cooking two things stood out to me. One was how quickly water boiled and the other was how amazing the non-stick surface was. I actually had a hard time sliding my spatula under my frying egg to flip it as the egg kept getting pushed up the side of the skillet. When I had finished cooking in the skillet, I didn’t even need a spatula to remove the food, it slid right out when I tipped the skillet.

  1. We’d been married for a few years and decided it was time to start cooking together. We went out and bought the Cuisinart MCP-12n Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-piece Cookware Set.

The first dish we cooked was a disaster. The pan was too small and the food wouldn’t cook evenly. We were so frustrated that we just gave up.

But we kept at it, and eventually started cooking some amazing meals. We loved being able to cook together, and the Cuisinart cookware set made it all possible.
