10422876A new season deserves a gorgeous new bag, and there’s no better time to find on than the start of spring. Of course, the selection nowadays can be pretty overwhelming, so I’ve picked out a few great new options from the new Fossil spring line to guide you in the right direction!

I can barely make it through the handbag section in a department store unscathed (there’s just too many bright lights and shiny bags), so I’m a big fan of online shopping. The selection is always better than in-store, and it’s easy to compare your options when everything can be lined up side-by-side.

Start the season off with a brand new wallet or wristlet

A new wallet is a super simple way to update your handbag, and what I love about Fossil is that many of their wallets serve a dual-purpose as simple wristlets. So, for a Saturday morning trip to the farmer’s market, you can throw your wallet into a tote bag, and for a Saturday evening night on the town, you can slide your smartphone into the media pocket and wear it as a wristlet.

I’m a big fan of the slim Fossil Emerson Wallet as a traditional (strap-free) wallet option, but the Fossil Sydney Leather Wristlet is definitely my top pick for spring. Its super-simple design looks great with any outfit, and it’s currently available in a gorgeous, summer-ready colour selection, including Tomato (pictured at right), Sea Glass, and Black.

For something even simpler, you can always update your handbag’s contents with a tiny Fossil Emory Leather Coin PouchI’ve had my Fossil coin pouch for over a decade now, and it still isn’t showing any signs of wear or tear! It’s definitely time for me to replace it (just to stay up to date), but I’ve been really, really impressed with the way it’s held up.

Choose a roomy bag to make sure you’re covered

Tomato and Sea Glass are Fossil’s main solid colours for spring, and they’re available in way more than just wallets and wristlets. Handbags are a great way to update your wardrobe with a nice, fresh pop of colour, and it would be tough to find something more on-trend for spring than a seafoam green or bright orange-red!

I’m loving the new Fossil Sydney Shopper in Sea Glass for a soft spring look, and the Fossil Emerson Leather Satchel in Tomato (shown at the top of this post) could not be a more perfect spring/summer bag. The brown leather straps, handles, and toggles complement the bright Tomato finish beautifully, and entire bag pulls together well for a chic, sunny look. Both bags are nice and spacious, so you’ll have plenty of room for anything you may need, from a tablet to a bottle of sunscreen. Plus, the new Sydney Shopper bags are made from high-quality PVC, making them sleek enough for the office but safe to take to the beach!

Midsize options for a day in the city

To wrap things up, I wanted to include two more options from Fossil’s new spring line. There’s a big difference in how much stuff you’ll be able to hold in a shopper bag versus a wristlet, and for all of the in-between days, it’s nice to have something that’s big enough (but not too big.)

The new Preston Leather Crossbody Bag (also available in Tomato) is big enough for your wallet and a few other essentials, but won’t drown you with excess material or weigh you down throughout the course of the day. For a more ergonomic option, there’s also the Preston Leather Backpack in Espresso, which offers up all the comfort of a backpack but doesn’t sacrifice style even a little bit! It’s a little bigger than your average crossbody bag but smaller than a satchel, and it would look super cute paired with a floral summer dress or a big wide-rimmed hat.

Fossil’s new Tomato-coloured satchel and Preston Leather Backpack are my favourite new handbags this spring, but leave a comment below and let me know which new Fossil women’s handbag is your favourite!
