Combine Jewelry With Different MetalsWhen I was younger I would have cringed at even the thought of combining silver and gold jewelry. But with the passing of each year, I open up to the idea more and more. And recently, I’ve even found myself advocating for mixed metals anytime I hear someone say they can’t pair certain pieces together. So today, I’m sharing my tips and tricks on how you too can combine mixed metals like a pro!

I’ve used a few silver and gold pieces from the immense collection of jewelry available online at BestBuy.ca to help demonstrate how I style mixed metals. I can’t wait to share the looks I’ve created with these pieces from Kenneth Cole. So, without further ado, here are my tips on combining jewelry with different metals.

How To Style Different Jewelry Collections Together

combine jewelry pieces

Many of the jewelry pieces featured in this post contain different textural elements and finishes. These elements of a necklace, bracelet, etc. can play off each other to create a look that’s truly unique.

The look is pulled together thanks to the circular shape of each piece. But it’s the variation in length, of both the earrings and necklace, and encrusted design that make these Kenneth Kole pieces unique. And I can’t help but love the way the pendant drop earrings fall within the center of the hoop earrings.

I would honestly wear this entire jewelry combination every day of my life if I could!

How To Style Jewelry With Different Metals

Combining jewelry with different metals is much more difficult to master than jewelry with different textures. And although rose gold has offered a great medium to play with pairing different metals, many people still shy away from the trend. But with that said, I’m all about embracing contrasting tones! So I was eager to play with a few of the silver and gold jewelry pieces available at Best Buy.

One of the easiest ways to go about the mixed metal trend is to combine pieces from the same collection. Here, I’ve paired this stunning Layered Chain Necklace in gold, with the matching Layered Chain Bracelet in silver. The similarity in their style instantly creates cohesion between the pieces, which offer a great base for additional jewels.

Again, I’ve used the hammered metal hoops–obsessed! But this time I’ve paired them with the contrasting gold Stacked Disc Earrings for a flare. The circular elements seen in each piece and similar antique finish help pull the two together.

At the end of the day, jewelry is meant to be fun! I hope this post has inspired you to play with a few of the silver and gold pieces in your jewelry collection. Or, better yet, grab a few new pieces from BestBuy.ca!
