Active Zone Minutes are the newest tool to stay “Heart Healthy”!

Fitbit enables you to see how close you are to reaching your fitness goals with a glance at your wrist. Fitbit keeps evolving so movement and fitness become a routine part of life. You’ve probably heard about 10,000 steps; that benchmark goal got the world moving more. Goals became attainable; and, with a Fitbit, easily and accurately measured. Now Fitbit is helping you move smarter with new Active Zone Minutes, a personalized feature (based on your resting heart rate and age) on the all new Charge 4. Active Zone Minutes uses your heart rate to measure the intensity of your activity. With Fitbit, you can track your progress toward a healthier lifestyle. It is found that Fitbit users not only become more active, but they also learn what kind of movement is best for their bodies. And tools like Active Zone Minutes among others, Fitbit is not just listing endless data, but giving you insight—insight into your body, including sleep patterns and heart health data that reassure you that you are on the right path.

How do you know if your heart is getting the recommended 150 minutes of moderately intense or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise each week? Fitbit makes it easy. It does the calculations for you, throughout your day, even if you don’t think that you are exercising. For example, you forgot something in your car and run to get it: that time gets included in your weekly total of Active Zone Minutes! On the app, all of the planned workouts and unplanned activity gets automatically included to your total number. Additionally, 15 minutes of vigorous intensity will add more to your weekly total versus 15 minutes of moderate intensity. Fitbit is helping you get the most out of moment. Whether you’re gardening or stroller pushing, doing yoga, a HIIT workout or cycling—it all adds up!

Fitbit delivers personalized health benefits for everyone

With Fitbit, you can track your progress toward a healthier lifestyle. Many Fitbit users have not only become more active, but they also learn what kind of movement is best for their bodies by using tools like Active Zone Minutes among others. Fitbit is not just listing endless data, but giving you insight—insight into your body, including sleep patterns and heart health data that reassure you that you are on the right path.

Who is a Fitbit really for? Anyone really, at any age. For example, with the Fitbit ACE 2, you can ensure your child’s activities are balanced between prolonged sedentary activities like gaming and intense movements like running around or biking. You don’t need to assume that their hour-long soccer practice twice a week is sufficient. Moreover, Fitbit is self-motivating. Wearing one and using the app create positive feedback for the wearer: they’ll be more self-aware of how much time they spend at each type of activity.

Older adults too will benefit. Not only will they be mindful of their weekly activity, they’ll have regular readings of their heart patterns that can inform health professionals about the state of their overall health.

Easy to use devices and mobile application

Fitbit smartwatches and trackers are comfortable to wear all day and night, with a battery that lasts for days. One of the best features of any Fitbit is that anyone can use one. Put it on and it works. It easily connects with the app and information is recorded and you have the information at your fingertips. The best example of its ease of use is how it helps you while you are even just sleeping. While you sleep, the Fitbit on your wrist is actively collecting data and making assessments of the quality of your sleep, the amount of deep sleep and light sleep, and more. It’s monitoring changes to your heart rate and breathing. Over time you can see patterns: you will learn what is “normal” sleep for you, and what is unusual for you. You don’t need to rely on folktales about what affects sleep: you’ll know what factors benefit your sleep and which ones interrupt a great sleep for you. Not too long ago, personalized health information like that was impossible to obtain by regular people in the privacy of their own homes!
