I’ve been fortunate enough to test out a bunch of fitness trackers and I’ve become the go-to person my friends go to for advice when they want to buy the latest and greatest fitness devices. That’s why yesterday, when Fitbit announced their newest wrist-based activity trackers, my phone was buzzing. And for good reason, because there’s a lot to be excited about. Here’s a quick look at the three new fitness trackers from Fitbit.

Google and HTC just took the wraps off what is likely to be one of the hottest tablets of 2014: the Nexus 9. Described as “powered by Android, for work and play” the new tablet features a powerful 64-bit CPU, the new Android Lollipop operating system, an 8.9-inch HD display and HTC BoomSound.

One Final Fantasy game that North American fans have wanted for awhile giving access to another that they’re anxiously awaiting, that’s twice the FF folks!  A Japan exclusive release, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is a more action oriented installment of the long standing JRPG, released in 2011 for the PlayStation Portable. Beefed up and repackaged for the new hardware, pre-orders gain players access to a playable demo of the next big Final Fantasy title, Final Fantasy XV.

Blockbuster, award winning, record breaking smash hit, GTA V, the latest in the famous (infamous?) sandbox criminal simulation / crime drama, is coming to the new generation of gaming hardware.  Beefed up with the extra power offered by PC, PS4 and Xbox One, the GTA V “Next Gen” re-release comes with a lot of incentive to buy, including over a million bucks.

The Toronto Raptors brought their preseason to Vancouver, BC recently, and I had the chance to attend a day of fun featuring NBA 2K15, the Raptors vs. Kings and even attend NBA Fantasy Camp. The only schooling I’ll ever have the chance to do is on the virtual basketball court, or so say my sore quads and lack of vert. Introducing Garmin new fitness tracker the Vivosmart. The Vivosmart is a build up from Garmin’s previous activity tracker the Vivofit. I have tested my fair share of fitness bands, and the Vivosmart has all the features that other fitness bands have but with a touch screen, it has various additional features that differentiate it from others that i’ll discuss in this preview.         

When it comes to TVs, there are a few brands that stand out from the pack – Sony, Samsung, LG, and Panasonic, to name a few. But have you heard of VIZIO? If you have, great! If not, you’re not alone. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be on your radar – especially now that their all-new M-Series Smart TVs are available at Best Buy.

Best Buy teamed up with Kiwanis Care Centre in North Vancouver to relay the goodwill and great intentions behind ‘Cyber-Seniors’, letting those who’ve long been out-of-touch with tech get hands-on with some of the hottest products. 

Since the release of the original wearable camera, GoPro has been a go-to for the outdoor action crew who want to capture videos of their wild exploits. GoPro has just announced the release of their latest batch of cameras under the name Hero4. This time last year they released two cameras in the Hero3+ range, and this time they’ve actually announced three different models; Hero, Hero4 Silver, and Hero4 Black.
