Thinkware Dash Cams are easy to setup and use devices that deliver a wide range of benefits. Many people are aware that they could use the captured footage from a dash cam to help establish their innocence if they get into accident. However, they may not be aware of some of the other amazing benefits dash cams offer. You’ll find out for yourself how great these are if you read the information below before entering this contest. And if you enter this contest, you might win one of eight new Thinkware dash cams.

Thinkware dash cams are easy to use

I’ve sent Thinkware dash cams to various writers and there are a few commonalities across these reviews. First of all, they all found the installation and set up of the device extremely simple. For example, Dave Neufeld wrote, “Getting up and running with the Thinkware F70 Dashcam could scarcely be much easier.” In her review, Shelly Wutke said, “… it couldn’t have been easier.” Matt Paligaru explains how easy it is to install the front camera of the F200 he was sent then stated, “Installing the rear camera is just as easy.” And, after testing the F800 Brad Moon stated, “First up, installation of the dash cam was easy.”

See a pattern here? Multiple different independent reviewers, using different Thinkware dash cam models, all found that these are easy to set up. Furthermore, they all had no issues with using them as intended.

Why would you want a dash cam

Another commonality across all of these reviewers was what they saw as an important reason to get a dashcam: insurance claims. No one likes to be falsely accused of causing an accident. Dash cam footage has been used by many people to prove their innocence when the evidence was unclear or especially when the other party in the accident was not honest. Dash cam footage has also been used to help people get out of traffic tickets issued erroneously. “I didn’t go through a red light, officer; and, I can prove it!”

If you have teenagers, then a dash cam is a great motivator for them to driver responsibly: everything will be recorded and reviewed when the car is returned. Speaking of reviewing footage: you can also do this after a week of driving to help self-diagnose bad habits and become a safer driver youself.

Of course, you are likely familiar with one other benefit: capturing amazing or shocking events. I live on a tiny island, where the deer outnumber people 3 to 1, so I would likely capture a ton of footage of deer crossing the road if I had one. But YouTube has many examples of people capturing really cool footage like fireballs and meteorites—all thanks to owning a dashcam.

  1. WOW! Such hard choices, all are amazing but if I won, i’d choose the Thinkware Q800PRO 2K Dashcam with Wi-Fi. It’s definitely looks like it offers a few more features than the others.

  2. I would love to get Thinkware F800 1080p Dashcam with Super Night Vision & WiFi so I can capture any accidents.

  3. F800 because it sounds easy to install and would be great for added security and to capture what happens on the road around me.

  4. My favourite is Thinkware U1000 4K UHD Dash Cam with Wi-Fi. I would like to capture wildlife at night.

  5. Q800Pro! And anything… Perhaps a crazy meteor event like the one the dashcams captured in Russia a few years ago!

  6. I honestly would love to have one of the cameras with the Sony sensor with great night vision. I currently have a dashcam because there’s a lot of crazy driving where I live and I would want to know that I’m covered in the case of an accident. Unfortunately, my current dashcam falls apart when it comes to night time. For this reason I would love to have the F800

  7. I’d like the Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera hoping to get photos of wildlife as we travel beautiful Alberta.

  8. I like the X700 Full HD 1080p Dascam and looking to catch some wildlife on it as I travel through nature parks

  9. I like the f800. These days driving in the city a lot,you see a lot of really odd things. I’d like to compile the footage and post it for entertainment of the masses.

  10. The q800pro would be good due to the 2k capabilities, low profile, and gps. I have encountered many incident while driving that having a properly functioning, good quality cam would be good for. From drunk drivers to accidents, I’ve seen it all and my current cam likes to not work sometimes which has been unfortunate. Having a reliable cam would make me feel more safe while having the potential to help others.

  11. Hi,
My favorite dash camera is the F800. It would be huge upgrade to the one I have now. I like the night vision, and the parking motion recording detection. I live in a bad area and we have people checking out the property for things to steal at night. Would love to catch them. This might do the trick.

  12. I like the F800. Obviously, I’d like to capture any incidents with my vehicle, but I’d also like to capture the funny things people do that I can’t watch while driving!

  13. Thinkware Q800PRO 2K Dashcam with Wi-Fi because it’s the highest rated. I would hope to capture evidence in case I’m in an accident to prove what really happened, because unless it’s on video nowadays nobody believes you.

  14. I love that the F800 has easy installation (my favorite) and hope to capture anything unusual in sight!

  15. I would like the simpler Thinkware F200 Dashcam, please–a basic small model that won’t be a distraction will suit my needs.

  16. I love the Q800 Pro and its 2K QHD 1440P video for a crystal clear picture quality. Good luck everyone!

  17. The Thinkware’s Q800PRO dash cam is my favorute and I would hope to catch some close call accidents but no damage.

  18. The q800 pro as it offers 2k video resolution and great low light clarity to better help capture the plate of some one who may attempt to hit and run. Also it offers a rear camera input incase in the event of a rear ending u can prove the person was following closely (Something I wish I had earlier).

  19. My choice would be the Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera. I don’t have a dash cam. Having the option of a rear camera would be good in slippery winter conditions, and seeing what is behind me. Thanks for the chance to win!

  20. Thinkware FA200 Full HD WiFi Dash Cam Would be my choice. Our area has seen an increase use of traffic circles and roundabouts. Not everyone abides by the flow of the arrows and signage.

  21. My choice would be the Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera. We currently have a dash cam, but not one with the rear camera. Would be good in slippery winter conditdions. (We were once rear ended 3 times in one month, each one 100% not our fault).

  22. I love Thinkware products because their cameras are packed with useful features, but most importantly they’re dependable. I used the F770 for 2 years and had absolutely no complaints. I upgraded to the F800 Pro and the consistent usefulness and safety I get from the product is worth it. I would love the Q800 PRO to replace my F800 PRO.

There are other products out there that may have better frame rate and others with better resolution, but there are pros and cons to each brand. Thinkware provides clear videos with possibly the best low light recording and intelligent parking modes in the industry, but also driving assistance (Lane departure warning, front collision warning etc.) and Thinkware Cloud to be notified in the event of an accident and have the video clip uploaded to the cloud. I can’t find another brand that offers these features like Thinkware does.

I have read incidents where people using other brands losing their critical recordings because the cable fell out or the SD card got corrupted. I know that in the event of an accident, which has happened to me, I can rest assured that my camera will still be recording and I can retrieve it immediately from the Thinkware’s app on my iPhone.

I would like to use the Q800 PRO to capture unsafe drivers to keep our roads safe, but also use the parking mode functionality to keep my car safe while it is parked. Thinkware’s parking mode is great at keeping people accountable for parking lot accidents.

  23. I like the Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera. Helps me to be a safer driver.

  24. I really like the Thinkware F200DG 1080p Dashcam & 720p Rear Camera with Wi-Fi & GPS and it’s perfect because my husband travels quite a bit for work! Thanks for the chance to win one and good luck all!
