Discover the new Thinkware U1000 Dashcam

Is road safety important to you? Driving today carries many serious hazards, but now you can mitigate those risks with Thinkware’s newest flagship dashcam model—the U1000. This camera will record incidents caused by other drivers to help ensure that no legitimate insurance claim ever goes unpaid again.

The Thinkware U1000 also utilizes Super Night Vision Technology, allowing it to record high quality videos even in low-light conditions and making it suitable for any environment or time of day. Its sharp 4K video resolution (at 30fps) may be downgraded to 2K resolution (at 60fps) to ensure smoother video quality (as well as to assist with licence plate reading at speed).

The Thinkware U1000 Dashcam can protect you in other ways as well, like with its comprehensive driver assistance warning system that helps keep drivers safer on the road. It can even be accessorized with a 2K rear view camera (and hardwiring cable) for a higher level of protection. (Note: The bundle SKU variation includes a 32GB MicroSD card, hardwiring cable, car charger, CPL filter, and 2K rear view camera.)

The Thinkware U1000 has built-in GPS

The Thinkware U1000 has a built-in GPS antenna that enables both safety camera alerts and road safety warnings for an added layer of protection on the open road.

For instance, drivers can now be verbally notified of upcoming speed and red light cameras to help them avoid traffic tickets (the U1000’s database of safety camera locations is updated regularly and may be downloaded via the Thinkware Cloud mobile app when paired with the dash camera).

Road safety warnings will help you react faster to upcoming hazards so you can avoid forward collisions caused by cars in front of you slowing suddenly, and react appropriately to lane departures. Thinkware U1000 will help to prevent accidents by giving you an early heads up.

These warnings are also fully customizable, allowing users to choose the combination of alerts that meets their individual driving needs.

The U1000 Dashcam is user-friendly and makes sharing moments easy

The Thinkware U1000 Dashcam is also fully compatible with your mobile (smart) phone, including both iOS and Android based devices. The easy to use Thinkware Cloud App lets you quickly adjust your dashcam’s settings and even share your on-the-road moments with family and friends via simple Wi-Fi downloads.

Thanks to the new 5GHz band built-in Wi-Fi module (available only on the U1000 model), those large 4K resolution video files will fully transfer to your phone in a fraction of the time they’d take using the conventional 2.4 GHz bandwidth. In fact, a 4K video clip can download to your phone on the 5GHz band in less than one minute, which is faster than downloading even a 1080P file over the 2.4 GHz bandwidth.

Out of sight, peace of mind, thanks to the U1000’s Parking Surveillance Mode

The Thinkware U1000 also offers a Parking Surveillance Mode to safeguard against potential thefts and hit-and-run incidents. A special motion/impact sensor monitors and protects your vehicle when you can’t by triggering an automatic 20 second recording (starting 10 seconds before the event occurred) when activated.

You may also choose to select the Time Lapse (or Energy Saving) Mode rather than the standard Impact and Motion Detection Modes. This results in less power consumption when your car is parked for long periods of time or in busy areas with lots of movement that would constantly activate the motion sensor.

Since the Parking Surveillance Mode draws power from the vehicle’s battery to remain functional even after the vehicle is shut off, the U1000 has a built-in voltage meter to protect against battery drainage and prevent the unpleasant circumstance of a dead battery.

Note: An optional hardwiring cable (sold separately) is required to use the Parking Surveillance Mode, and professional installation is recommended.
