Everyone needs a great blender in the kitchen. I think we can all agree how awesome blenders technology has become. Blenders used to be limited to adjustable settings for faster or slower blending. Things have changed a lot! The Ninja Chef DUO 1500-Watt Blender has Auto-iQ technology to enable one-touch blending of your favourite recipes. In addition it has a clean program that helps removed food residue from beneath the blades. Best of all: Best Buy is giving away 3 of these great blenders in this contest!

You will be blown away by the features of the Ninja Chef DUO. One of my pet-peeves with older blenders was the small jar: I could never make enough in one batch for my two children and myself. Problem solved since the Ninja has a huge 72 oz. blender pitcher. Okay, perhaps you don’t always need something big. Like if you’re creating your personal favourite smoothie—you don’t want to use a huge blender for that. Problem solved: the Ninja comes with a 24oz. slim high-speed blender cup.

What will you create first if you win a Ninja Blender

If I had the Ninja blender, I’d whip up a banana-strawberry smoothie like I used to when my kids were little, with one or two fresh banana and a cup of strawberries I had frozen in advance. My daughter loved this with a splash of milk back then, but now that she is vegan I would substitute cashew milk.

What is your favourite smoothie recipe? Perhaps you like to keep things simple like me, or do you like to experiment and mix it up?

  1. Almond milk, avocado, spinach, matcha, vanilla protein powder, maple syrup. That’s my go-to smoothie when I’m looking for something decadent. It’s like a milkshake. Otherwise, almond milk, vanilla protein powder, and whatever fruit I have on hand.

  2. a cup of frozen berries, 1 tablespoon milled flaxseed, a cup of water, a handful or kale/spinach mix and a splash of orange juice.

  3. We are huge smoothie fans. Unfortunately this summer our blender broke. The bottom part where there is seal cracked and crumbled. This would be amazing to win. We would be back to making our favorite smoothie. We call it Happy Kids Smoothie. Banana, Kiwi, mango, Pineapple, honey & Apple juice !
Thank you so much for the chance

  4. I use almond milk and a low fat vanilla yogurt. I add in a frozen banana and some frozen blue berries. I then add bee pollen and a little flax oil. So healthy & good.

  7. My favourite mid day smootie:

We (and by we I refer to my wife) uses about 1 cup of plain greek yogurt, mix in blueberries and some banana to taste, throw in a handful of fresh spinach and add apple juice to obtain desired consistency. Beef it up with some protein powder if you want more protein, or if you want more EFA’s add a few tablespoons of Hemp Seeds. My 9 and 6yr. old girls pound this.

  17. Dear Everyone,
Our little family absolutely LOVES smoothies! With two children under two, smoothies come to the rescue when they are sick and don’t feel like eating or when we need to get some extra healthy goodness into our boys – they mistake it for a treat and enjoy getting the ingredients together and watching everything whirl around.
    Our favourite:
    -1 banana
    – Mix of strawberries, blueberries
    -1 tbsp of coco powder
    – 2 cups of almond milk
    – 1 tbsp of flaxmeal
    Delicious!
(P.S. We would really love a Ninja Duo!)

  18. My smoothie of choice has a whole banana, two tablespoons of vanilla yogurt, a few tablespoons of frozen mixed berries, four ice cubes, and a few ounces each of milk and orange juice, too.

  19. My favorite smooyhie is asking me which of my 5 children is my favorite,me my wife and the kids make the new Ninja Chef DUO make it the family favorite way to whip up each of our favorites.

  20. I’ve never made a smoothie in my life. The blender I have is huge, is dying and I doubt I’d drag the damned thing out to make anything but a creamed soup with it. If I was going to make something it woujld have to have banana’s and some sort of berry in it..other then that, I have no clue wht goes in one
