Suunto 7 announced at CES 2020

Improving your fitness is easy when you have one of the latest fitness wearables strapped to your wrist, and there will be more choice than ever now that brands like Amazfit, Suunto, and Fossil have announced new wearables at CES 2020.

Amazfit announces two new fitness wearables

Amazfit T-Rex Amazfit Bip S

Huami brought two new Amazfit wearables to CES 2020: the Amazfit T-Rex and the Amazfit Bip S.

Amazfit T-Rex

The Amazfit T-Rex is a solid smartwatch for anyone who loves adventure. Built to military standards, it has a high-strength polymer body, operates in temps as low as -40º, and has a 5ATM rating for saltwater so you can wear it while diving or swimming in open water. The band is sweat-permeable and breathable. Just so you know it can stand up to every extreme adventure you take on, Huami has made sure it’s passed 12 United States Department of Defense certifications for strength and rigidity.

Amazfit Bip S

I tested out the Amazfit Bip and I thought it was a great smartwatch at an amazing price point. The Amazfit Bip S is a step up from the original Bip, with better water resistance up to 5ATM, improved battery life so you won’t have to charge up to 40 days, GPS, and a heart rate monitor built-in.

Suunto 7 smartwatch

The Suunto 7 is the latest fitness wearable from Suunto. I tested out the Suunto 5 and loved the multi-sport tracking and how it connects to Strava and other fitness apps. The Suunto 7 takes it up a notch by combining a sports watch with a smartwatch, and it’s packed with sports and lifestyle features to get the most of every day.

With free offline outdoor maps, built-in GPS, and over 70 different sports modes, you can take your Suunto 7 on every adventure. Powered by Fossil Gen 5 Garret Wear OS by Google, you can check your messages, see your daily schedule, and make payments, all from your wrist.

Fossil Smartwatch

Fossil is well known as a brand that makes watches that are stylish and full-featured. The latest smartwatch from Fossil, the Fossil Gen 5 Garrett, runs on Wear OS by Google, is available in 5 different colours, and has all of the fitness and smartwatch features including notifications, heart rate, and sport tracking.

Diesel Fadelite

With a colourful, translucent strap and translucent shell, the Diesel Fadelite is a really eye-catching smartwatch. Powered by Wear OS and running Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, you get Google Pay, heart rate tracking, and music control thanks to the Spotify app. It’s slightly smaller than some of the bulkier smartwatches, coming in at 43mm instead of 44 and up.

Withings ScanWatch

Withings ScanWatch

Christine just covered the Withings announcements from CES 2020, but one of the most exciting has been the Withings ScanWatch. I’ve owned the Withings Steel HR for a few years now and I’ve always loved the minimal design and powerful features. The Withings ScanWatch takes those features up a notch by adding an ECG reading and monitor for anyone suffering from sleep apnea.

With battery life of 30 days, you’ll be able to detect irregular heartbeats via the ECG reading and three built-in electrodes. Monitoring sleep apnea will be simple using the SpO2 sensor, and you’ll get daily reports of any episodes sent to the Withings Health Mate app.

These are just a few of the amazing fitness wearables announced. Keep an eye on Best Buy’s blog for more announcements from CES 2020.
