Relive Micheal Jordan’s Legacy

There are several new features coming to NBA 2K23, with the biggest being the return of the Jordan Challenge. This mode allows you to relive the career of one of greatest basketball players of all-time through 15 milestone moments. Experience Jordan’s career, from his time as a college player, to early playoff appearances and epic Finals showdowns that would come to define his legacy.

From the 1982 NCAA National Championship to the 1998 NBA Finals, each challenge features a pre-game interview with a personality who played a role in making every game great. Experience Jordan’s debut at the University of North Carolina in 1982, his key moments playing with Team USA in ’84 or the NBA Finals in 1998.

There have been changes to player’s physicality and AI, including style upgrades for classic players like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. These include all-new jump shots, layups and dunk packages.

The developers have made it a priority to improve shooting gameplay and make it more realistic. There have been several changes to shooting, including attributes, which give each signature jump shot its own unique shooting stats that help determine its effectiveness.

There have also been changes to the Pro Stick, which now allows players moves with more control. Gesture Combos have been added which give players a whole new range of options for shooting and ball handling. The game will also received new dunk commands, allowing players to pull off the move as they intended, without accidentally performing an unexpected skill dunk.

Defensive Improvements

Defensive gameplay has also been improved in NBA 2K23. There are new animations and player movements that make it feel more natural and realistic. This season, the blocks have been adjusted, resulting in more predictable results with the appropriate players making ideal stops when timing their block attempts correctly.

NBA 2K23 also has new AI ball handling, pick and roll execution, defensive tendencies, and coaching decisions on the PS5 and Xbox Series S|X. These changes will make the game more challenging and realistic. In addition, there have been several animations added or updated, including player and coach reactions, to help bring the game to life.
