Work together as a team to seal away the Necronomicon

For those that have played games such as Evolve, Friday the 13th or Dead by Daylight, you’ll have a good idea of how Evil Dead The Game plays. For those that haven’t, let me explain. Playing as the survivors, teams of four work together completing various objectives along the way across pretty large maps.

First, you must secure three map pieces, each at different locations on the map. Next, once the map pieces are secured, you then must make your way to various ritual sites. From here on out, is where the gameplay really picks up. You need to secure the Kandarian Dagger and the lost Necronomicon pages, whose locations appear on the map. What makes things interesting is, not only can you see their location but the Kandarian Demon can see them as well. Action shifts to these areas.

You must hold out for a certain amount of time before either the dagger or pages are secured—all while facing an onslaught of enemies. Next, you and your team must banish a group of powerful entities from the world. You guessed it, while being absolutely hammered by enemies. Finally, the key to victory lies in the final stand-off during which you must defend the Necronomicon as it’s sealed away.

1 v 4 as the Kandarian Demon

On the other hand, playing as the Kandarian Demon is quite different and an absolute blast. Playing as the demon, you’ll be hoovering up infernal energy, which can in turn be used to deploy minions and boss characters. Furthermore, you can possess objects, minions and even survivors later on in the game.

All the while, your demon power grows, leveling up in threat level. As a result, this allows for upgrade points to be spent on things such as giving your minions more health and becoming more efficient at possession. Additionally, it’ll reduce cooldowns on how often you can spawn elite enemies and bosses.

By causing chaos and derailing the survivors, you’ll cause their fear meters to increase. As this happens, survivors become more visible on the map. And, eventually you can take control of survivors and turn them on their allies for a short time.

Single-player missions inspired by the Evil Dead movies and TV series

Evil Dead The Game isn’t just multiplayer, there is a single player component included as well. These five mission’s content and five bonus extracts to unlock lean heavily on the TV series and movies from the Evil Dead universe.

Each mission is composed of multiple stages where success is only accomplished by exploring and rationing items such as ammo, amulets and cans. Your goal is to simply be the last one standing. Additionally there are excerpts from recordings, which are inspired by the TV series and films to add to the ambience of the game.

Battle across memorable locations

Evil Dead fans new and old will have plenty of surprises awaiting them in this gore-filled battle against evil. You’ll battle across memorable locations including the infamous Knowby cabin in the woods, brought to life with tons of terrifying visuals and all-new dialogue from Bruce Campbell.

Moreover, there are more than 25 weapons to discover, including Ash’s Gauntlet, Boomstick, and chainsaw, and advance in a variety of skill trees to grow stronger and survive the night.

Evil Dead The Game is a fan’s dream come true

If you are a fan of the Evil Dead, enjoy multiplayer games with a single-player component, Evil Dead The Game is right up your alley and a dream come true. It features a massive cast of characters spanning the movies and TV series. Furthermore, there are three demon armies to take control of when playing as the Kandarian Demon. Honestly, the level of fan service here is unparalleled.

Whether you’re playing as Ash, Cheryl, or possessing Evil Ash as the Kandarian Demon, every character and monstrosity has been painstakingly recreated to accurately replicate their big and small screen counterparts.
