Finally after months of waiting, the event that our gaming customers have been waiting for is here: E3 week! Every year during E3 there are great announcements of new games, new features in games you love, and so much more. Check out our E3 hub for great deals from Best Buy, and great information from the show. Best Buy’s fantastic E3 2019 Gaming offers will be live as of June 7th.
Best Buy will be sending bloggers Jon Scarr and Mélanie Boutin-Chartier to Los Angeles to report on all of the announcements, and capture images and video from the press events (that begin on the weekend prior to the actual show) and from the showroom floor during the event from June 11 to 13th. What gaming announcement are you most excited about this year? Perhaps it’s a new version of a game from your childhood. Alternatively, it may be a recently released game that was demoed at last year’s show. This may be the year when you discover something new that quickly becomes a new favourite. I am super excited for Links Awakening on the Nintendo Switch, I am an avid Zelda fan and I’m thrilled that they’re remaking such a classic, since it is the only Zelda instalment I have never played!

Gears Of War 5
I remember playing gears of war in High School after it came out; young, living in my parents basement with no real responsibilities. When I play a new Gears game as an adult who has responsibilities; I’m happy for five minutes because it takes me back to when life was easy.
I’m probably not entering the contest properly but that’s fine. Life is full of disappointment but at least I have Gears 5 to look forward to.

Final fantasy 7 remake!!! I am beyond excited for this! In the very limited amount of teaser trailer footage already released, I’ve felt tremendous nostalgia and absolute excitement, which I haven’t felt about a game for a long time.
I’ve recently replayed the original ff7 and it has rekindled my love for RPG games, as well as stoked the fire in anticipation for the remake.
I don’t even own a PS4 yet, but hopefully I’ll have one by the time the remake comes out. Unless it gets released on the switch as well, then I’ll be set!
Square enix and the final fantasy franchise are what’s getting me the most excited for gaming in 2019 and beyond.

Larian Studios is teasing a new project on it’s official website that looks like they are going to produce Baldur’s Gate 3. Baldurs gate was a classic RPG for PC. But I hope that this will be released on all formats. I would play it on my PC and on my PS4. I love how Baldur’s gate let you control more than one character and the way it was setup for player progression was classic. Rubbing my hands together on this one.
Gaming announce that’s the best is most definitely gonna be Modern Warfare that’s coming out on October 25. I’ve been hoping for a modern warfare 4 since I finished MW3 back in 2011 and I’m still playing mw3 to this day! Can’t wait to see price all over again, hearing “Overlord” and definitely with the rumoured soap coming back I’m so hyped 🙂
I’m excited for the new Avengers game announced by Square Enix and I hope it’s amazing!! It’s about time we have a good team up game!

Hands down looking forward to the remake for Zelda: Links Awakening the most. The legend of Zelda franchise is my all time favourite and one of the few that I play multiple playthroughs of games in it. Nintendo always delivers. Cant wait for this game.
Looking forward to PS5 announcements because it will show us what we can expect from the next generation consoles. This is important because it may be the first consoles that can output all games in native 4K with an SSD for a major decrease in load times. I think the next generation of consoles will change the gaming industry as we know it because consoles are now able to compete with the increasing power of PCs.
I am also looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 announcements because CDPR is my favourite publisher and I think that they make some of the highest quality games in the market.
The game I am most looking forward to in 2019 is Death Stranding, the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions. After the groundbreaking gameplay innovations Kojima accomplished with the Metal Gear Solid franchise, I can’t wait to see how his newly founded, independent studio can raise the bar once again for the PlayStation 4. The announcement is important to me because some of my most fun, lengthy, challenging and surprising gaming experiences with friends have been playing Kojima games, and we can’t wait to see what comes next 🙂

The XBOX announcement of Ubisoft remastered Assassin’s Creed III has me most excited in 2019. It’s a game, it’s learning history. Having traveled to London, I first played Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and found the characters walking around places i had actually just visited in person, impressed by the detail the designers took! Can any other of their games be anything but amazing?
Ubisoft is my favourite, they say their gonna showcase ghost recon breakpoint which im really excited for because i loved ghost recon which was an amazing game and im really looking forward to breakpoint and ubisofts other games, wouldve loved an assassin creeds showcase but ubisoft said their skipping a release!

I am so hyped for Gearbox’s ‘Borderlands 3’ coming out in September! I’ve been following this franchise for quite some time, when my friend (and now husband!) first introduced me to it. I think this series really brought us together, and it’s one that we really enjoy playing together. We’ve both been looking forwards to it for a long time!

I’m really excited for the new Call of Duty game developed by infinity ward, it’s been so long since we’ve had a COD game that’s similar to the nostalgic ones. Also captain price is back ;).
I was ecstatic when Activision announced that they will reboot Call of Duty: Modern Warfare . Modern Warfare has always been my favourite series in the franchise. I remember playing it everyday with my friends back in middle school. Ohh the good old days…

Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch from Nintendo EAD ftw! Been playing that ever since I was 5 when I got it on the Nintendo GameCube way back when. Seeing them come back with it makes me go back to my childhood, so super excited to see that on the big screen this month. Your childhood only lasts for a while, so why not keep it by playing nostalgic series’ like Animal Crossing?
