Finally after months of waiting, the event that our gaming customers have been waiting for is here: E3 week! Every year during E3 there are great announcements of new games, new features in games you love, and so much more. Check out our E3 hub for great deals from Best Buy, and great information from the show. Best Buy’s fantastic E3 2019 Gaming offers will be live as of June 7th.
Best Buy will be sending bloggers Jon Scarr and Mélanie Boutin-Chartier to Los Angeles to report on all of the announcements, and capture images and video from the press events (that begin on the weekend prior to the actual show) and from the showroom floor during the event from June 11 to 13th. What gaming announcement are you most excited about this year? Perhaps it’s a new version of a game from your childhood. The game I’m most excited for is Animal Crossing! I’m also excited for the new Smash character, I’m really hoping it would be Goemon from the Mystical Ninja series!
I’m most excited about final fantasy 7 remake on PS4. This game brings back a lot of childhood memories and the game looks amazing.

CD Projekt Red will be showing off more gameplay for Cyberpunk 2077 and I’m really excited to see them reinvent the open world Videogame. I think we all love Bethesda but some healthy competition to inspire them to upgrade their game engine and step their game up is much needed.
I’m super stoked to see what first party games Microsoft has coming. I also just want to see more about Pokémon sword and shield.
I am most excited that call of duty allows cross platform playing. I’m not a big cod fan but when major games start to allow this, it makes me hopeful that more games follow suit and this becomes normalized.

I am excited most for Jedi: Fallen Order. It could finally deliver the campaign that fans have wanted from a Star Wars game for a while and add a new story to the universe that is exciting! I am looking forward to that and learning more about it, the most.

I’m looking forward to the Halo infinite. It’s been quite some time since 343 released a new Halo game for Xbox.
I have spent much time with my son playing the Nintendo Switch prize pack #1 now that he has all its games. We would be most excited to try the PS4 prize pack to try out some of the new gaming options it has to offer.
I’m really pumped by Microsoft announcing their next generation Xbox and all the new first party games from their new studios.
I’m honestly super excited to see what surprises Nintendo is going to bring this year. I’ve been a PC/Xbox user the majority of my child and adult life, though I’ve borrowed a friend’s Switch lately and have been absolutely loving it. I can’t get enough of its portability, convenience, and overall fun I had playing a bunch of its games. I believe it’s time for me to get my Xbox a friend with a new Nintendo Switch console!!
I know Sony isn’t having an official conference, but I’m curious about what they have up their sleeve. I’m really hoping to see some more from Death Stranding.

Most excited for Bethesda’s update and announcement for Doom series. This game was one I grew up on playing with my dad, who has since passed away, and I often return to the series for the nostalgia of the moments that got me into gaming! Can’t wait to see what is unveiled about the next edition!

Most excited for cod modern warfare remake by activision!
I would have to say Final Fantasy 7 remake has me by far the most filled with anticipation as realistically who wouldn’t like to see Cloud and Sephiroth gameplay fighting it out in today’s graphics. Would love to see this one the PS4! One can only wonder
Being an avid fan of past Star Wars games for many years, I’m pretty fired up for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order by Respawn Entertainment to drop on November 15th, 2019! RE picked an excellent release date in that the last instalment of the Star Wars movie trilogy comes out about a month later. Was it planned? Who knows, but it’s going to be awesome!
I was the most excited this year when Nintendo announced Pokémon Sword and Shield for the Nintendo Switch during a Nintendo Direct. I grew up playing Pokémon games primarily, and love the Switch more than any console so far. My younger brothers and I are going to buy Pokémon Shield right away when it comes out and play nonstop until we finish the game.
I can’t wait to see what Marvel’s Avengers from Square Enix will look like since I loved their Tomb Raider games.

I am most excited for call of duty modern warfare remaster from Activision. It’s about time they started concentrating on single player campaigns instead of just multiplayer games.
I’m most excited about Crash Team Racing on the PS4, I absolutely loved Crash Bandicoot as a kid. I’m so happy that al of these remakes are happening, along with Spyro. It’s amazing.

Hands down, more info regarding the FF7 remake. Been waiting in anticipation for this game to be released for years. I remember when I first heard about the game when it was originally released. It was the days of AOL when the internet was still in its infancy. You actually had to buy minutes on the internet and it was on auto billing to a credit card. You can imagine the surprise bills in those days.
When I first heard about the game, I was still in the midst of playing FF3/6, which at the time, was considered the best Final Fantasy ever released, so a new one was an epic announcement.
I downloaded the little video they had showing gameplay only. Took 2 hours. The video was only like 30MB, if that. It was downloaded over a 28.8 modem. Resolution was only 240×120 or something like that. It was blurry and pixelated and was really choppy. All it showed was cloud walking around, but I fell in love.
I was like, a 3D FF???!!! It had never been done before. Then I saw it was being released on the brand new PlayStation, that was yet to be released. At first I thought it was a bad idea that Sony was entering the gaming market and that it had any hopes of competing with Nintendo, and then I found out that Squaresoft was leaving Nintendo in the dust because the N64 was going to be cartridge only and they did not have the capabilities of creating the cinematic experience they wanted to create.
That day, I decided, a devout Nintendo loyalist due to Sqaresoft only being on this system, that I was getting a Sony Playstation instead of an N64. This game single handedly changed my loyalties and I was hooked.
I rented a PlayStation a full year before the game was released in order to play the demo that came out with Tobal No 1. Wow. What an amazing demo. This solidified my decision in getting a PlayStation. The demo was action packed and better than anything I’ve ever played. I knew it was going to be torture waiting.
I waited another full year for that game to be released. I preordered my copy to get my FF7 t-shirt and picked it up at a local mom and pop gaming store.
I was in heaven for 3 months playing through that game, from September to December of 97. I had just started grade 10. The game was phenomenal and there had been absolutely nothing like it at the time. It had come a very long way since that little AOL video I had downloaded years before.
The memories from playing the game will live with me forever as an integral part of my teenage years. This is why the rerelease of FF7 and more info being revealed is what I am most excited about.
The Final Fantasy 7 remake from Square-Enix. But let’s be clear- like Toronto’s Sky Dome and ACC, real ones will always know them as Squaresoft. This goes beyond the simple nostalgia of having played it in my formative youth. It’s a chance to remember what got me gaming in the first place, and for SE to remember what put them on the world map and why. Story, characters, revolutionized graphics (for its time), epic music composition that remains timeless to this day, and of course… Hair that defies gravity and the environment- all while saving it. A wise man once said, “This train we on don’t make no stops.”
I am excited for Square Enix Avengers game, it’s been a long time coming but it’s definitely coming out at a perfect time. Hope it doesn’t disappoint.
I’m most excited for the rumoured announcement of From Software’s new game being made in collaboration with George R. R. Martin. FromSoft is my favourite developer and I’m pumped to see what they’re doing next.
June 10th for the SquareEnix event. I’m looking forward to FF news.
