Finally after months of waiting, the event that our gaming customers have been waiting for is here: E3 week! Every year during E3 there are great announcements of new games, new features in games you love, and so much more. Check out our E3 hub for great deals from Best Buy, and great information from the show. Best Buy’s fantastic E3 2019 Gaming offers will be live as of June 7th.
Best Buy will be sending bloggers Jon Scarr and Mélanie Boutin-Chartier to Los Angeles to report on all of the announcements, and capture images and video from the press events (that begin on the weekend prior to the actual show) and from the showroom floor during the event from June 11 to 13th. What gaming announcement are you most excited about this year? Perhaps it’s a new version of a game from your childhood. Alternatively, it may be a recently released game that was demoed at last year’s show. This may be the year when you discover something new that quickly becomes a new favourite. I’m hoping for some news from Nintendo about Metroid prime 4, hopefully retro studios made some progress to show off this year.
I can’t wait for Nintendo’s release of more details on Pokemon Sword and Shield! I’m hoping for enough info to decide which one I’m going to get, and I really want to see the starter evolutions!
I’m most excited about Animal Crossing for the Switch. It has been years since New Leaf came out for the 3DS and I can’t wait to finally play the Switch version after waiting so many years.
I am most excited about Marvel’s The Avengers game by Square Enix !
The announcement that has me most excited is the release of Death Stranding, by Kojima Productions and Sony, on November 8, 2019!
I’ve been enthralled by this game ever since it was first announced in 2016. When it was revealed that Mads Mikkelsen, one of my favourite actors, would be starring in the game, my anticipation went through the roof.
The gameplay seems to be varied and interesting, the story is going to be absolutely wild, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that the game looks astounding thanks to the Decima Engine.
I absolutely cannot wait to experience what Hideo Kojima has been able to create now that he has been given full creative freedom.
The Gaming Announcement that has me most excited in 2019 is Pokemon Sword and Shield. With all the history of the Pokémon world it connects generations and the new installment is bound to be amazing!
Grandmother of 4 teenage boys here. It seems that I better be excited about a few of them. Yes, I do play whatever is the most popular is at the time. Of course, I need more guidance than they do but the video games have come a long way. I do enjoy when they bring back an old game but the new ones that I have read about are amazing. Fun!
Metroid Prime for the Nintendo Switch. I’ve always loved how simple and intuitive the controls were for past Metroid games, so I can only imagine what the developers have in store for Nintendo’s killer console.

Nintendo’s announcement a couple months ago for MARIO maker 2!!! 28 days to go!!! I absolutely love MARIO. And I am so excited to see the streamers play this. I watch MARIO Maker YouTube and twitch all the time!

I’m excited for for Beyond Good and Evil 2 from Ubisoft because I had a lot of really fond memories playing the first one and am interested to see the evolution of the characters I enjoyed so much back in 2003!
I am the most excited for borderlands 3! I’ve been waiting and waiting on this game since pre-sequel and every new sneak peek or teaser they drop it just keeps looking better and better!
I’m definitely most excited about Cyberpunk 2077 by CD-Project Red. I’ve been looking forward to it ever since they announced it(five years ago I think). I just get more hyped with every snippet of new info they release, which hasn’t been much. I really hope they announce a release date and cool collector’s edition.

Gears 5 and Borderlands 3
Avengers by Square Enix!!! And a good part of this game is being produced in Canada! (Through Eidos Montreal) My family is moving to our new home on the same day as E3, but I’ll be checking out BestBuys blog once the dust settles.
My kids are so excited for the new call of duty.
As a lover of Walking Dead and Norman Reedus, as well as a huge fan of Guillermo del Toro, I am more than excited for Death Stranding to be released in November. The game looks amazing!
Sony’s surprise announcement that Death Stranding by Kojima Productions is coming out at the end of this year got me excited about the game, as I’ve been curious to know more ever since the first teasers were release, and also with all the new Studios acquisitions by Microsoft last year, I can’t wait to find out what they have in store for us during the Xbox Briefing! 🙂
Xbox game pass for Windows 10. It’s a great way to open the audience and availability of games instead of being only locked to purchasing from sites like Steam.

I’m excited for borderland3 from gearbox and it is coming out mid September. It is my favourite series and I am patiently waiting for it. Love this game. Also, I am waiting for the new Star Wars Jedi video game but it won’t be released until November.
The announcement I was most excited about was when Nvidia announced the new RTX graphics card line. Not because of the cards themselves so much as the announcement that real time ray tracing is now available in consumer products. It’s not often that we are introduced to a complete technological change in the fundamental way graphics are made, but that’s what happened. With the recent confirmation by Sony that it’s next gen console will support ray tracing as well (and Microsoft very likely to follow)…..and of course pc will continue to show off the benefits of ray tracing best as it’s the pioneering field for everything graphics related. Exciting times!
Super exited to see what Marvel’s Avengers by Square Enix is about. Everything has been hush so far and waiting for this big reveal. Hopefully it is on par with Spider-Man. Love Marvel. Love Avengers. Super excited about this announcement. Thanks!!
I’m most excited about the tease by Larian studios about them making Baldur’s Gate 3. I have been a fan on Baldur’s Gate since the start, it was one of the first games that really fit me into gaming, especially PC gaming, and Larian has done an awesome job with the Divinity series so they’d be an excellent studio to bring Baldur’s Gate back.
For me I can’t wait to here more about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order by Respawn. This could be a great campaign game that we’re missing in Star Wars. I’m not good at battle royal and such but I do enjoy a very good story to play.

I’m excited about the new Avengers game.
It has to be The Avengers Project. Being a lifelong fan of these comics, movies and games this has to be one of the most exciting ideas for me. Especially coming off a 22 movie saga that recently ended. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for this franchise!

Right now I’m excited for some more PSVR news. It seemed to have slowed down for a while, but picked up again recently. That along with its price drop from launch has me anticipating at least a few exciting titles must be upcoming.
Sony doing its own thing during E3 also makes me hope they want to separate from the pack because they have a lot to say…
I am really looking forward to the Pokémon Direct by Nintendo and the Pokémon Company on June 5th (next week!). The main announcement for Pokémon Sword & Shield on the Nintendo Switch happened in February, but I am hoping for more information, and more specifically a release date!

Why is it important to me: I have been playing Pokémon games since the first versions (Red & Blue) on GameBoy, and kept playing as I grew up. It is one of my favorite gaming franchise and I always get hyped for any new games!
Borderlands 3 by Gearbox has me the most excited. I have been playing the Borderlands series since it started. Also Borderlands is the very first game that I have Platinumed.
I am most excited to hear about Animal Crossing for the Switch! Animal Crossing is one of my most favorite games, and the series I have the most time invested in. I am hoping we get some information about what is new in this installment in the series, a release date, and a Limited Edition Switch or Joy-cons or Pro Controller announcement haha
I am really pumped for the announcement of the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare unveil as of May 30th! It has been a staple in the COD franchise and hopefully won’t disappoint!

I’m most excited for news from Sony about PS5. I current have a 10-year-old PS3 and have been waiting for an upgrade. The official news out of Sony recently about PS5 specs has been awesome, and backwards compatibility is a great bonus. Looking forward to E3 and more news and hopefully a release date.

Gearboxes borderlands 3 has me most excited in 2019. I have been a fan of the game since the first release. While the style and story of borderlands is fantastic it was really its cooperative gameplay that hooked me. It was a great series for playing with friends. I can’t wait for borderlands to expand and evolve the story and gameplay in 3. Plus claptrap! Gotta love claptrap (too bad about the voice actor debacle and replacement).
