Battlefield 6

EA and Battlefield Studios just pulled the curtain back on Battlefield 6 with a brand-new trailer, officially kicking off the next chapter of the long-running series. Following Battlefield 2042, this new entry shifts away from all-out chaos and zero squads, bringing back tighter team-based combat and a grounded campaign. The reveal gives a first look at Pax Armata, a Private Military Corporation bankrolled by former NATO states. With that backdrop, Battlefield 6 promises a return to full-scale warfare on land and in the skies, mixing destructive environments, vehicle combat, and squad tactics.

The series’ signature formula is back: large-scale battles, tight squad coordination, and destruction-driven gameplay. Exploding walls, collapsing buildings, and airborne dogfights all play a role in this new vision. And for the first time since Battlefield V, the game also brings back a full single-player campaign.

More details are on the way soon. A full multiplayer showcase is set for July 31, where the team will dig into game modes, maps, and what they’re calling the most ambitious entry in the franchise’s history. Stay tuned to the Best Buy Blog for full coverage.

Battlefield 6 gameplay brings back all-out destruction and tactical freedom

Battlefield 6 brings back the series’ focus on large-scale, destructible warfare. You’ll be able to blow holes through walls, bring down buildings, and change the battlefield to your advantage. Whether you’re charging in headfirst or sneaking around the side, destruction is back and more important than ever.

Combat spans air, land, and sea. Combat includes tanks, jets, and boots-on-the-ground infantry fights. Dogfights take centre stage once again, with jet combat returning. EA also emphasized that squad coordination remains essential. You’ll need to rely on your team just as much as your weapons. The new setting adds a fresh layer to the formula. With Pax Armata pushing the world toward global conflict, both the multiplayer and the story campaign tap into a modern war narrative. This isn’t a return to past wars or speculative sci-fi. It’s a near-future clash built around private military might.

EA is also teasing a suite of multiplayer modes, including both returning favorites and new experiences. Full details will come during the July 31 multiplayer reveal, but early signs suggest a familiar mix of sandbox chaos and squad-based tactics.
