Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

  2. I think that the ability to swivel the TV, as provided by the Sero by Samsung is pretty amazing. So many times the media is intended to be displayed vertically and the built-in swivel allows for this flexibility.

    The Samsung TV that I would like to purchase off the Best Buy website is the Samsung The Sero 43″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN43LS05TAFXZC), because it has the swivel function.

  4. I like the 8 million pixels in total on the Samsung TV’s. It seems to show more detail.

From what I’ve read up on it, NanoCell technology creates better colour practically at a molecular level, which is mind-blowing! Technology has come so far where the quality of the TV show sand Movies we can view have become so real! I’m also excited for the superior audio quality that can be found in this TV thanks to Dolby Vision IQ.

  7. I’m very excited for Samsung’s 55″ 8K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV! Not only am I pumped to be blown away by the quality of 8K video, but the quantum processor that optimizes sound for each scene and adjusts brightness to the room’s environment is a game changer! I hate it when the audio from one scene in a movie show is too low so you turn up the TV but then the next scene contains an explosion it’s so very loud! This will be the new standard moving forward I feel.

  23. LG technology looks like they have really honed in on design, and have set themselves apart with their unique viewing experiences. I also love how some models have 8K technology for viewing, but their major selling point is their OLED model’s minimalist thin design that makes them look more like artwork for your wall than a TV! Specifically the LG CX OLED TVs, like: LG 77″ 4K UHD HDR OLED webOS Smart TV (OLED77CXPUA)

  27. I am hard of hearing and the three TV’s offer the best sound system I have ever heard of. I don’t have a favourite they are all of equal value. I would love to watch these TV’s in HD with the surround sound that’s awesome.

    The LG NanoCell 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV that is exclusively only at BestBuy looks like a pretty killer television to have. The Magic remote with voice assistance would be pretty nifty, along with the High Dynamic Range technology that makes it feels ultra realistic.

  34. The Frame is an amazing innovation in the latest Samsung TVs. The gapless mounting bezels would fit in our home perfectly and bridge my interest in the latest and greatest tech with a pleasing design aesthetic, The ability to project high definition art is an added bonus.

  43. For Sony I would get the Sony 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV (XBR65X800H). The feature that I would use the most would be the Google Assistant as we are a google environment here with Google home and Minis throughout the house .Also the 4K HDR X1 processor delivers lifelike visuals which would be great for our movie nights

  44. Honestly, the technology LG has isn’t as impressive as Sony or Samsung. I think LG mostly competes on price. That said, their Nanocell tech does look better in bright rooms than QLEDs. A LG NanoCell 55″ 4K UHD HDR LED webOS Smart TV has this tech and would be a good addition to the budget conscious consumer.

  45. QLED tech is great even if Samsung licensed the tech from Sony. You can really see the difference especially with the blacks. I’ve seen the Samsung 58″ 4K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV pop up and I wouldn’t mind owning one.

  46. Easy – Sony’s 4K HDR X1 processor. Input lag sucks when you play on console. If I can get one, I want a Sony 65″ 4K UHD HDR LED Android Smart TV.

  50. LG has me and my husband most excited about their Premium TVs! My husband has been talking about wishing for a new LG TV forever because of their OLED technology and sleek design. I’m a movie lover and I would LOVE to host movie nights with the LG design because it looks so modern and the picture would be absolutely fantastic!
