Headphones come in many shapes and sizes. There are those that entirely cover the ears, and are great for sitting still, letting the music cover you like a warm, security blanket. Then there are those designed for people on the move. That’s what Jabra has created with their new ELITE line of headphones and earbuds. Take them on the bus, wear them while working out. Listen to your music anywhere, during any activity, and in any weather. Enter this contest and if you may win one of 4 pairs that Best Buy is giving away!

Headphones come in a dazzling array of styles and designs

There are many types of headphones out there to suit everyone’s personal style. Audiophiles and studio engineers gravitate toward the over-ear models, that surround the ear with cushioning, isolating them from outside noises, so the listener can concentrate on just the sounds provided through the phones.

Very similar to those are the on-ear headphones. I use this style at work because they have excellent sound, but allow some of the sounds around me in so that I am aware when a coworker asks me question. They enable me to stay alert to the people around me, which can be important at work.

Then there are a variety of in-ear styled headphones, including wired versions and many styles of wireless headphones.

Wireless headphones are for everyone

Many people think that wireless headphones are for people who have the most modern type of cell phone, one that may not have a headphone jack. Alternatively, many may assume that since the new Jabra headphones have “elite” in their name they are designed for elite athletes. However, these headphones are great for you and me, average people who love our music, want to be listen to our music anywhere, and don’t what our headphones to be destroyed by a little moisture like sweat, or the some dust we encounter on a run around our neighbourhoods or just getting off public transit.

The prizes in this contest will allow you more freedom than you are probably accustomed to with headphones. We are giving away 2 different models from the Jabra ELITE line. My favourite feature is that they do not need to connect to a phone with a wire: they connect to your phone, or tablet, or computer wirelessly using Bluetooth.

The Jabra wireless headphone prizes

The Jabra ELITE 45e noise cancelling headphones enable you to focus on your music and workout, and escape the noisy distractions around you. The flexible neck band allows you to pop them out when you want, while keeping them securely resting around your neck.

The Jabra ELITE active 65t noise cancelling truly wireless earpbuds inconspicuously rest in your ears delivering amazing audio for approximately 5 hours on a single charge—that should be ample time for your commute, or your workout (the ELITE 45e headphones will last up to about 8 hours thanks to having more room for a larger battery). Both Jabra models feature dual microphones, so when you take calls using these, both sides of the conversation will be crystal clear.

I know I want both of these, but definitely I am leaning towards the ELITE 45e as best for my needs. I like the extra battery life, and the fact that I can just rest them on my shoulders when not in use. How about you?

HOW TO ENTER

This contest is easy to enter, but you can only enter once. In a comment beneath this article, tell us which headphone style is your favourite and why. Perhaps you are a traditionalist who loves the over-ear experience. Personally, I’ve never tried Truly Wireless so I would like to try a pair to see if the freedom from wires works for me. Let us know your preference and why, and you may win one of these great Jabra headphones.

WHAT YOU CAN WIN

At the end of this contest we will select four (4) winners from all eligible entries. Two winners will receive a set of Jabra ELITE 45e headphones, and two winners will receive the Best Buy exclusive blue and copper coloured version of the Jabra ELITE active 65t truly wireless earbuds.

This contest runs from July 20th until August 5th.

Remember you can only enter once. However, you must know someone, a family member or friend, who would love a new pair of Jabra headphones. Share this contest with them so they too have a chance to win.

Good luck.

  1. The Jabra ELITE active 65t noise cancelling truly wireless earbuds are my absolute favourite! I love the fact that it can last up to 5 hrs on a single charge also. I would love to give these to my partner for an anniversary present – these are exactly what he was looking for!

  2. The wireless headphones would suit me best like the Jabra ELITE 45e . I would prefer not to have wires.

  3. My preferred type are the over the ear as personal preference that it is more comfortable for me than the in ear.

  4. I would like to go with the truly wireless 65t model. I’m don’t like tangled wires.

  5. The truly wireless ear buds to listen to music while I’m running would be the best for me since I prefer not to have wires. The over the ear style are uncomfortable.

  6. The Jabra ELITE active 65t noise cancelling truly wireless earbuds would definitely help me survive, during times I must go out of the house. Due to my ongoing disability, one issue is that I am always too hot to wear on/over ear N.C. headphones, to help control my sensitivity to more than one noise, at the same time. The Jabra ELITE 45e noise cancelling headphones would also work for this, but the cable on my neck might bother my over-heightened senses. With either though, I could block out unwanted noise, but also answer my cellphone, without having to run off & find a silent area, in which I could communicate!! Thanx for the chance to win this awesome, life-improving product!!

  7. As an older guy I am really tired of with wires. I want the freedom, and ease of not having to worry about getting up and having an unpleasant surprise.

  8. I’ve never tried truly wireless headphones either but it’s the one that appeals to me most. The less wires I have to deal with, the better!

  9. Thanks for the opportunity to win! I would much prefer the wireless because of how much easier it would be to wear when doing physical activities.

  10. I have just recently been looking into getting a set of wireless earbuds for riding my bike and walking without having to worry about wires. I would prefer over the ear.

  11. i like the quality of the over the ear style but you can’t beat the convenience of and in ear headphone.

  12. I like the over the ear bugs as I find the in-ear ones either never stay in place or they start hurting after a while.

  13. would love the Jabra ELITE active 65t wireless earbuds to allow me greater flexibility while i work out

  14. I have only every tried over the head headphones so I’d like to try to give wireless ear buds a chance. Thanks.

  15. Wireless earbuds would be my choice since I seem to always catch wires on something and earbuds are easy to carry.

  16. I like the Jabra ELITE 4e since I like the flexible neck band. I find over the ear make my ears uncomfortable.

  17. Jabra ELITE active 65t for me! I like the minimalist look and small carry case since it will slip easily into a pocket. I don’t want to carry bulky accessories with me all day so saving space is important.

  18. Havn’t tried wireless before but I would think that it would be great for an active person like me.

  19. I like the on-ear headphone style. Given my family is prone to deafness, I don’t like earphones that go directly into the ear.

  20. i prefer in ear wired ones myself!! mainly because of how portable they are, but i dont have to worry about charging them

  21. I prefer the Truly Wireless (Jabra Elite Active 65t) because wires just get in the way of my active lifestyle and they look cooler
