We’ve been hearing a lot about smart homes lately and for a good reason. A smart home is more convenient, more safe and secure, and more energy efficient. And it’s pretty easy to make your home smarter given that there are smart products in pretty much everyone’s price range. There are also a huge range of ways to make your home smarter. You could get a smart lock, smart lights, or even just a smart outlet that you can control with your phone. One way you may not have thought of is to place your television in the safest, most convenient location possible using a Sanus TV wall mount. Enter this contest for a chance to do just that!

Why is a TV mount a smart option for any home

Gone are the days of massively heavy televisions taking up large sections of the floor space in a room, or needing to be placed on or in bulky, unsightly cabinets that don’t fit in with any room’s decor. Even the largest televisions sold at Best Buy are sleek and light enough to be easily mounted onto almost any wall. There is no reason for anyone to risk one of these technological wonders falling off a TV stand onto a child or pet. A safer, smarter option for your family, and for the TV itself, is to mount it once and for all where it will be off the floor, up where everyone can simply enjoy it. That is the smart thing to do.

So in a broad sense there are many additions you can make to your home that will make it smarter. Smart tech, of course, would be included in this; but the list doesn’t end with tech that you can control using your smart phone or tablet. For you, it might be a ceiling mounted drying rack, or a compact folding bed for when guests come over. Or it might be a new Sanus TV mount for your television.

Is it hard to mount a television

I won’t generalize: I bet there are some mounts that offer severe challenges due to poor instructions or incomplete components so they work with few televisions. Not so with the Sanus mounts. We sent one of the same types of mounts that we are giving in this contest to reviewer Brad Moon. Note that Brad was asked to do a permanent installation so that he could discuss exactly what you need to know for setting up this mount. Brad is not a professional installer, just a normal guy with a TV who wanted a smart TV setup in his home. Read his article, and watch his video and you’ll see exactly how easy it is to setup a Sanus TV mount—then enter this contest for your chance to win one.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy but you can only enter once. In a comment below, tell us one thing available at Best Buy that you want to add to your home that will make your home smarter. I’ve listed a few suggestions above, but the possibilities are really endless.

What you can win

At the end of this contest we will select one winner from all eligible entries to receive a new Sanus Advanced Full-Motion TV Wall Mount.

This contest will run from Oct 25th until Nov 11th.

Remember you can only enter this contest once but you probably know someone with a big screen TV that would look better on a wall. Let them know about this contest so they too have a chance to win.

  1. I’d love a smart thermostat like the Google Nest 3rd Generation Wi-Fi Smart Learning Thermostat with Nest Temperature Sensor Bundle

  2. I recently moved and have found small confines mean less floor space for furniture and maximizing the full potential of the space with multi purpose furniture, things that can be folded away when not in use to allow for more room and less clutter to move more freely. Murphy beds are back in style and better made, more comfortable than the early models. But if you’re renting you may not have this option. The layout of my bedroom is awkward and less than ideal. The bed takes up most of the space with little room left over for night table and tv .
My flat screen stands on a small table taking up a huge amount of floor space and is at the side of the bed rather than the foot of the bed. There is no room at foot of bed for table but huge amount of wall space where ideally I would love to mount my tv. It is a perfect solution as I can open up more floor space by getting rid of table tv stands on now at side of bed which is awkward for watching tv and mount it at a comfortable eye level on wall at foot of bed for the best tv experience.
I’ve noticed that watching flat screen tv on angle washes out the colour and takes away from the potential and enjoyment of the picture quality.
Being able to watch straight on means best possible potential utilized for best picture and tv watching enjoyment. I spend hours a day with my smart tv watching internet content and DVD’s.
A wall mount is the ultimate solution for my small space to utilize its full potential and ultimately allow me to experience the fullest viewing experience and enjoyment.
This is definitely the answer to my prayers.

  3. I would really love to win anything, but I could really use a new Bluetooth speaker as the one I have has started to buzz, I think it’s possible the speaker is blown, and money is tight, I gotta have my tunes!!! Oh, I could also use a new PC, I had to let ours go due to a divorce, now my daughter and I don’t have it, so I wish you all good luck!!!

  4. Living in an apartment there Is only so far i am allowed to modify my accommodations but one thing I have been wanting to expand my Alexa family with is some smart bulbs. My roommate and I are both avid gamers and when we are hanging out in the living room it would be so cool to just ask Alexa to turn on the lights as it gets dark. However things like this can get expensive so for now, I’ll stand up to do it on my own haha.

  5. I love the smart lock system. I have a boxer and he paws at the door lock when I’m outside and locks the door so now I can’t get in. The one day I had locked my whole house except the patio door as I was out back, sure enough he locked me out and I had to get a locksmith to come out. I’m thinking a smart lock is the way to go.

  6. A smart tv for my husband our television gave up the ghost and we are using the children tv until we replace it.

  7. I rely on Best Buy for all my electronics. I would like to upgrade my P.C. And the wall mount would be great for my bedroom tv
