For me, the stories I created while playing with cars and figurines established a love of storytelling and a love of writing. Remember the toy car that sparked your interest in automobiles? They remind us of simpler times, filled with wonder, curiosity, and unbridled joy. Toy nostalgia is a bridge to bygone days

There is one great scene in the second Tim Allan Santa Clause movie where a boring staff Christmas party is transformed into a fantastic, memorable night for all (in the film and in the theatre watching the film) thanks to a sackful of nostalgic toys like Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots. There is no denying that toys can transport us back to our childhood, evoking a flood of emotions and memories. In a comment below, tell us the name of the new toy at Best Buy, and the name of the toy it reminds you of, and any great memory you have with that toy (or perhaps it’s just a nice feeling?).
  2. Social post: For one additional entry, create a public post on a social media channel sharing with your friends and followers that you are entering a Best Buy blog contest for a chance to win a lot of toys. Include the hashtag #BestBuyToyContest, so we can find your post, and include any picture from this contest page. Then return here and tell us in a comment below on which channel you posted it and the name of your channel (since many people use pseudonyms) so that we can check and verify your entry. You can use any social media channel (X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Thread, LinkedIn, etc.), but the post must be public so we can verify it is there.

What you can win

At the end of this contest, we will randomly select 12 winners from all eligible entries. Each winner will be randomly assigned to win a fantastic bundle of toys from Best Buy. The 12 prize packages are shown at the bottom of this page.

This contest runs from Nov 3rd to Dec 3rd.

  2. I like the King Toys 2023 GMC Sierra 12V 2 Seater Kids Ride On Car With Remote Control Pink. My little girls would just love this. Barbie was the toy of the past and we had so many fun years with Barbie adventures and play themes.

  4. Mouse Trap brings me back! I remember when my brother and I would play with the board game for hours…not even playing the actual game. We just kept fiddling around with the random traps and gizmos and it kept us occupied for hours. I don’t think we ever even completed a full game so it’d be nice to try it again and play an actual game with my kids!

  5. Hasbro- the game of Risk makes me remember playing Risk myself with my family over the holidays. It is still my favourite game to play even now as an adult, because it reminds me of late nights playing with my dad and my siblings, leaving the unfinished game on the card table (because it took forever to play!) and playing again the next day. Such great family, holiday memories! Can’t wait until my girls are older to play it with them! 🙂

My brothers and I would spend hours racing about, doing ‘burnouts’ and making up all sorts of tricky predicaments and obstacles to add more adventure to each turn behind the wheel!

    • The Droyd Romper Ride on Toy electric Bike definitely reminds me of when I had the original Big Wheel. When I was a Kid my Friend Ryan was the first one to have it. When Christmas came around I got one and once the Weather got better you couldn’t keep me off of it. Especially on the weekends I was riding my Big wheel for hours upon hours. But when the weather was bad I would ride it up and down the Hallway in my Apartment building lol
