Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

  1. My favorite would be the LittleBits™ Droid™ Inventor Kit . My 10 year old daughter loves to create, make and design all kinds of projects. We could spend lots of time designing and creating Droids with this kit.

  3. SPHERO STAR WARS R2-D2 APP-ENABLED DROID is my favourite. He is one of my favourtite Star Wars characters. For such a little guy with limited mobility, he sure gets the job done every time. He is a hero and quite funny too considering I can’t understand a word he says lol.

First time I saw BB8 . smiled ear to ear. he looked awesome and ingenious to have to circular.. get anywhere anytime. two thumbs up.

  9. OMG.. Everything is so awesome!!! I would love to play with the Speeder bike drone.. The fact that it plays music is so cool and the looks of it isn’t like a regular drone!! Yep, when it comes to Star Wars I’m still a kid at heart… I might let my husband try it too.. Might….

  12. My favourite is the Sphero Star Wars BB-8 App-Enabled Droid because it has authentic movements and BB-8 rolls just like on the big screen I can control it thru my smart device using bluetooth

  13. For me, it’s definitely the SPHERO BB-8 app controlled Droid. From the moment if say episode 7, I was madly in love with BB-8. When that toy was announced, it was the cutest most amazing thing ever, but I just couldn’t afford to get one. I would love the chance to win one and all those amazing other toys too. They can sit next to my 15 inch Millennium Falcon replica! 😀

  14. This is awesome, my favourite would be PROPEL SW X WING DRONE CLR ED – I’ve always loved the x-wings the best since I was a kid, and having this for my kids to play with would be awesome.

  15. I was 20 when Star Wars hit the theaters It was the most amazing adventure. R2D2 is definitely my favorite. He’s trekked from Princess Leia to Obi wan to Luke, back in time to Anakin and now he’s on his was to Luke. Star Wars was my son’s first love, at 3 we rented Star Wars on a daily basis. It would be so amazing to have this as part of our toy collection.

  18. The one I’d like to have would be the UBTECH Star Wars Stormtrooper Robot. It is the futur ! Who needs a guard dog when you have your own Stormtrooper ! I saw the first Star Wars when it came out in 1977 and yes everybody fell in love with R2D2 but they needed to look like Stormtroopers to free princess Leia ! Remember: “Aren’t you a little short for a stormtrooper?”

  34. I have just learned about the UB Tech Stormtrooper and I’m in love and amazed. Can’t wait to try the AR with this iconic SW figure. This particular model is so cute, it became my instant favorite.

  40. This contest is not fair!! Choosing only one item is as complicated as choosing between the Light side or the dark side. That being said I will have to go back to my childhood and go with the Propel Sw Speeder Bike Drone. This has nothing to do with the tech, just memories of racing through the forest with card board profile made from my Dad.

  45. You’re not making this easy! There are so many great choices here. When it comes right down to it though, I guess I have to choose the R2-D2 droid. Sentimentality of the original movies, such wonderful movies and times. But the drones, R2-Q5, and that stormtrooper… like I said, you didn’t make it easy.

  48. I would choose the tie fighter drone! Simply because I think flying it would be sooooo much fun! To see a tie fighter in the sky (smaller scale of course) would be AMAZING, to be the one flying it, MORE AMAZING.
