Star Wars toys keep getting better with each new movie. Two years ago, when “The Force Awakens” introduced the cute droid BB-8, Sphero introduced their incredibly accurate working version of the droid. Star Wars toys are an integral aspect of the experience: many of us grew up playing with them. So with a new movie arriving this year, Best Buy will help ensure this tradition continues by giving away almost $4000 worth of Star Wars toys in this contest! Star Wars toys are not just for kids

Star Wars toys were always the coolest thing around. When we were kids they were cool, and nothing has change: kids today still love them. Interestingly, adults still love them too. They are not just for collectors either. I’ve met many adults who either still have Star Wars toys from when they were a kid, or ones they’ve acquired more recently.

I have a shiny silver Millennium Falcon that I think is great. It sits next to my computer at Best Buy’s head office. I used to have this massive tie fighter (shown in the image on the right) at my desk too. Unfortunately, our office was recently rearranged and it had to be moved. If I was to choose one of the newest toys as a replacement it would definitely be the Propel Speeder Bike Drone shown in the image at the top.

The Rebel Alliance R2-D2 astromech app-controlled droid by Sphero features authentic movements with emotive waddles and more. A built-in speaker lets you hear R2’s iconic beeps. The Watch with Me feature would be awesome to view select Star Wars films and R2 reacts beside you.   5. My favourite has to be the Sphero Star Wars R2-D2 App-Enabled Droid. R2 has always been my favourite droid. Its be awesome to have a small phone controlled version.

  6. The Sphero BB-9E app controlled droid! Why? First of all, it looks similar to BB-8 but one of the bad guys (presumably) and those are always my favourites. Second, the technology is amazing! You created an actual functional ball droid with a head that stays on as it rolls along. And we can bring it home and actually control it with our phones! It’s just amazing. Also I really love the Propel Tie Fighter because again, bad guys, awesome tech and who doesn’t want to fly a Star Wars ship? And if I won, I’d share some of this with my 6 year old nephew. I know he’ll love them.

  7. I am crazy about the Sphero First Order BB-9E because it’s so space-agey cool! This toy feels like it was plucked right from the Star Wars set. I love that it rolls and moves its dome just like on screen. And how awesome are the LED lights and that it connects to a smart device. Definitely on my Christmas shopping list!

  11. The “Propel Star Wars X-Wing Battling Quadcopter Drone” Star Wars toy is my favourite because it is a Star Wars themed drone! I’m thinking of the possibilities of attaching a video camera and recording city flyover scenes!

  12. I would love to win one of the 2 prizes. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan. He is a very mature adult but a kid at heart. Because of his love for Star Wars I also got into it and now I am also a big fan. Everytime I see a Star Wars product I get excited and want to buy them all, of course that’s not very realistic 🙂

    My favorite toy would be the PROPEL SW X WING DRONE CLR ED. I’ve seen the you tube video of how it works and it’s so awesome! I love how it can fly so high and spin and do all the tricks. AMAZING!

  13. Definitely the UB Tech Stormtrooper is my favorite..it is sooo cool that it can do so much…patrolling, face recognition…it’s like your very own stormtrooper guard…hahaha..but the other prizes are cool too…all star wars toys are sooooo cool..

  15. MY favourite toy is the Speeder bike drone. It is so good, I could make a fan-movie using it to add an authenticity.

  16. Would love the X-Wing drone. It captured my imagination as a kid. I even had sneakers with X-Wings on them, and had a Revell X-Wing model which had extending S-foils. Timeless design, and I would love to fly a drone based on it.

  17. Thank you, Best Buy. Another GREAT contest 🙂 So many amazing “toys” to choose from….it was hard to choose ONLY “one” from the two lists. But the one I chose was the “littleBits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit” Why? Well, even though it’s for slightly “younger” kids than my nephews are (early ‘teens”)…..they would be totally loving this type of “toy” for sure. They are fully into ANYTHING that is “electronic” or “Mechanica”……especially my Nephew “Isaiah”…..who absolutely is obsessed with “programming” right now. At such a young age, he’s already been doing some amazing “computer programming” with his homeschooling….and even on his own. Even building his own WORKING robots, etc. out of lego, mechano sets, etc. etc. So, definitely, this and all the other ‘Toys” would be so amazing for their contniously “Learning” minds………..and of course, endless “Fun” as well 🙂

  29. My favourite Star Wars toy is the Sphero Star Wars R2-D2 App-Enabled Droid and the reason is simple. I first saw Star Wars when the first movie (that is, now considered episode 4) came out and the droids like R2-D2 became synonymous with Star Wars. To this day, I need to see R2-D2 in a movie to really give it the Star Wars feel.

  31. SPHERO SW BB-8 APP-ENABLED DROID W/TRNR is the best one. When I first learn about it I thought that the toy wouldn’t work or move like in the movie, but when I started playing with the toy I realized how nice it was. The hologram is also super.

  37. STAR WARS BB8 RC why is this my favourite? Because my daughter is completely starwars crazy and she loves this thing!!! I’m not starwars crazy myself and she’s even got me loving it.     I JUST found out that this kit exists like 2 days ago, and book marked it right away!
    I love Educational Toys, and things that require assembly.

  43. The UB Tech Stormtrooper in prize A looks great. Our favorite at home is the Sphero BB8. There are some tough scenes in Force Awakens and Rogue One that having BB8 with the kids has helped them be a little less sad.
