DJI drones are versatile for photography and really fun to fly. Their newest model, the DJI Mavic Air 2, can film in 4K at 60 frames per second! That is seriously amazing. It can reach amazing heights, speeds, and distances, so it’s much more than a toy. However, when used responsibly it elevates your senses—you’ll feel like you’re a bird in the sky! Read more about the newest drone in the DJI family, then enter for a chance to win the demo model that we had reviewed on the blog.
What can you do with a drone
A drone is more than just a flying camera. It does fly; and it has a camera. But fly a drone and suddenly you realize this is a very unique experience. First there is the feeling of lift-off—you’ll never forget that surge of excitement. Remember you are in control, elevating, tilting, drifting to the left and right. There is a learning curve, but it’s not steep; quickly you adjust your perspective to react appropriately to capture the bird’s eye view of your surroundings. If you are able to use it near your home, you’ll will gain a new appreciation for the world around you. For me, rising about ten metres above my house allowed me to capture a view of several gulf islands including Saltspring and Pender.
DJI packs their drones with amazing features
With the new DJI Mavic Air 2, you will be able to do so much more than you might think from the moment you turn it on. It is so easy to use. We sent the prize for this contest to Shelly to test it out and she was amazed that she instantly was able to capture smooth, professional looking videos, right out of the box. Watch her video to see some of the images of her farm taken with the drone.
Shelly shows what’s included with the drone, how to assemble the drone, and offers some tips on how to fly it. She also speaks to many of the unique features that enable you to do some really interesting things with simple menu selections. I love the Helix Quickshot function!
The Mavic Air 2 has many features to help you get the most from flying it. It can even help you find safe flying areas near your home. This is very important; you will want to be sure about what areas near you allow drones and if there are maximum height restrictions too. You should read Shelly’s article for a more in-depth descripton of some of the key features that she tested. Be sure to return to this page to learn what you need to do to enter our contest.

A great feature is Quick Shot with a tap of a button – very cool. A lot of great features on this drone.

Thank you for this contest.
I think the tripod feature of the drone to take panoramic shots is so cool!

I love the different image modes you can use, like Quick Shots that lets you capture the drone in various modes including Rocket, Circle, Boomerang, or Asteroid, and Tripod mode to capture landscapes, as Shelly did! 🙂
The 8k would create stunning images!!
Excited to see the 8K video! I love the seaside and it would be amazing to fly right over the water and capture all the detail
The 8K hyperlapse would make for some stunning footages
The Auto-follow function seems really cool!
Several photo features including SmartPhoto, Hyperlight, Panorama, and HDR
I’m eager to try the Auto-follow feature

I like the safe area flying option.
Soooo cool!! My hubby would be thrilled if I won this for him! And it would make for an exciting Father’s Day gift too! I really love the details in the video such as sport mode and following a subject. Shelly discussed that in sport mode the drone doesn’t detect obstacles, this is important info to know! What a great giveaway for a whole new perspective for so many of us that are literally “grounded” during these uncertain times. Twitter fan@plumerea
Love the auto take off and landing as we’ll get some great pics/vid with the stellar camera.
My favourite feature is that it can help you find where you are allowed to fly it. I have steered clear in the pay out of fear around having to figure out where I am, and am not allowed to fly it.
So cool that it records professional looking footage. I’d love to win as I am working on a project editing videos for a local company right now and drone footage would make amazing b-roll! Thanks for the chance to win.
My favorite feature is the auto pilot (or is that auto-follow?) feature to help keep me from crashing this cool gadget!
I am eager to try the Helix Quickshot function.
Auto Take Off and Landing seems like a great feature considering how I’m messed that part up before on my last drone (RIP…)

I am really interested to see how well the stabilization works for video on this drone.
Ease of set up and fly is most important to me since I am technically challenged.
I really like the auto pilot feature.
The 8K hyperlapse would make for some stunning footages at the cottage. I would love to share the footage with everyone.
I love my drone, but I’ve wanted to upgrade for some time. Would love to take this baby out and see what she can do.
I’ve always wanted a quality drone to capture creative for both my personal and social media work. Having a birds-eye-view so to speak and take both pictures and video in ways you couldn’t before, using it’s 4K camera and clear 60fps.
This unit looks amazing!
Also appears to be very a very rugged design.
I would love to try out the “obstacle avoidance system” as well as the HDR 4K video.
All around…it just looks really cool!

Amazing drone. As a new drone user I find interesting this auto flying zone feature and also the auto pilot for take off and landing.
Auto-follow is the best feature for me. I’ve always wanted to take one around the kart track
