1435931493640.jpgIt’s hard to believe, but July is finally here. Now that all of the kids are out of school and our long awaited summer has started, there’s no better time to check out what’s new at Best Buy for this month.

July might be the month you enjoy day after day spent on the sand, but because it’s a time when everyone seems to kick back and relax, it’s great to take stock of what’s going on in your life and organize it all to run a bit better in the fall. It’s also a great time to start checking out what will be new for back to school. Getting a head start on it can make all the difference when the end of August hits.

With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the new products coming to Best Buy in July.

360 Fly 4K.jpg

360 Fly 4K

It’s here just in time for summer fun, and you’ll be a pro at using it when winter hits: the 360 Fly 4K version is a step up from its HD predecessor because it shoots in brilliant 4K.

360 Fly is a cube shaped camera that lets you shoot time lapse and first person POV video. It’s water, shock, and dust proof, and because it can shoot a full 360-degrees around you, you get the full view of wherever you are.

We reviewed the 360 Fly a few months ago and were impressed with the amazing video it captures, and the new version can shoot up to 2880 x 2880 at 30fps. The camera includes mounts to spare, so you can take it everywhere with you.

I can only imagine how great 4K video will look when taken with this camera, so be sure to look out for it in July.

Asus laptops

You might be thinking beach and flip flops, but in the back of your head you know at some point you’ve got to consider what you’ll need for back to school. At the top of a lot of lists is a new laptop, and with two new Asus laptops coming in July, you might want to take a look at these now instead of later.

ASUS ROG GL752

Who doesn’t spend late nights gaming in the summer? With the ASUS ROG GL752 you can game in the summer and take it back to school with you in the fall.

This powerful laptop has a 2.6GHZ Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD for speedy bootups and quick access to your files. It’s also got a 1 TB HDD to store all of your games, projects, and much more. Thanks to the NVIDIA GTX960M graphics card, game play will be smooth and lag-free, and the 17.3-inch Full HD LED backlit touchscreen will make your favourite game, movie, or even that term paper crystal clear and enjoyable to view.

ASUS VivoBook Flip TP501

Should you pick up a new tablet or a laptop? You won’t have to choose one or the other when you have the ASUS VivoBook Flip TP501. It has a 360-degree metal hinge so you can flip between Laptop mode or use it to view movies and play games in Tent mode.

With a 2.5GHz Intel Core i7-6500U dual-core processor, 12GB of RAM, and 1TB hard drive, you’ve got space to spare for everything you need to store. The ASUS VivoBook Flip TP501 also has a15.6-inch Full HD LED backlit touchscreen display and is a lightweight of 2.9kg, making it one of the most versatile laptops you’ll find out there.

Both ASUS laptops are coming to Best Buy in July, so watch out for them before the back to school rush hits.

Omega juicers

If this is the summer you’re planning on kicking off a new health regime, you’ll be happy to hear that Omega juicers are coming soon to Best Buy. They make it simple to add juice to your daily routine, especially if you choose the Omega Juice Cube.

With a square-shaped design, powerful 200watt 2 HP motor, and a low speed of 80rpm, Omega juicers can create nut butters, nut milks, baby food, fruit sorbets, and healthy juice.

Omega juicers will be coming to Best Buy in July, so keep an eye on small kitchen appliances for them.

Backpacks, bags, luggage and more

You can’t go wrong with a new backpack or bag, and there’s a ton of great options coming to Best Buy in July. Picking up one now means you can use it for summer fun then transition it as a back to school bag this fall.

What I love is how a lot of the new bags have a vintage look to them this year. Take this Burton daypack from the Tinder collection as an example. It’s a rucksack with a main entry and separate padded laptop compartment, but the style is completely retro.

Take a look at Stacey’s post on the best backpacks for back to school for an overview of everything online right now, and Rae has a great post on new luggage for summer.

Motorola baby monitor.jpeg

Keep an eye on your baby and relax at the same time

Christine just did a great review on the Motorola MBP662CONNECT remote wireless baby monitor. It’s the perfect summer companion because it lets you watch baby while you kick back and relax outside in the yard or when you’re on a trip.

With a full-colour 2.4” LCD display, digital zoom, and infrared night vision you can watch everything your little one does. It works with the Hubble app to send sound, motion, and even temperature alerts to your phone so you’re always in touch.

Did you know Best Buy carries…

Did you know that Best Buy carries metal detectors? Up until I read Leo’s review, I didn’t know either, but what a cool gadget to take out on the beach or by the lake this summer.

Leo reviewed and really enjoyed using the SuperEye S500 metal detector, and I want to try this one out in my yard. With a ravine and fields that have been empty forever, I can only imagine what I’d find.

There’s a lot going on in July, so take some time to cruise through the Best Buy site and check out everything that’s been added for this month.

Happy July!
