Nintendo is once again set to release the latest instalments in many of their fan favourite franchise this year. Both the Nintendo Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS are set to get some heavy hitters. Ports to the Nintendo 3DS, long awaited sequels, indie games, fan funded games and crossovers are all coming this year.

These days, when buying a console, not only are you getting a gaming machine, you are also getting a fully-fledged entertainment system. The consoles of today can play video games, stream movies and TV, can play music, and allow you to share user created content. Coming this February to PlayStation 4 and followed up in March on both Xbox One and PC is the highly anticipated first installment of DLC for the latest game in the Call of Duty series. Call of Duty: Black Ops III Awakening, is bringing you 4 new maps and the latest installment of the fan favourite Zombies game mode, called Der Eisendrache.

Nintendo is well known for their long running franchises like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Metroid and more. One such series that has a huge history and fan base is Fire Emblem.
