Garmin dash cams are reliable and easy to use. You likely know how useful they are. Dash cams have gone from a “nice-to-have” to a “must-have” addition to your vehicle. Car owners, truck owners—even motorcycle owners—realize the value of capturing the many unexpected events that happen on the road on digital video. Garmin has a wide selection of dash cams, like the Garmin 47, 57, 67W, and mini all to be given away in this contest. Read on to learn two of my favourite features and for a chance to win one of these Garmin dash cams.

Garmin dash cams provide clear and detailed recordings

Drivers want a dash cam that reliably captures high-quality video and high-definition still recordings. There’s a lot of factors that can affect the quality of the footage: fast moving cars, varying light and weather conditions can make capturing good videos and images even more difficult. There is a lot of technology built into Garmin dash cams to ensure quality images are captured and stored, and can easily be shared afterwards.

When looking for a dash cam, look for ones with the right resolution that can give you quality footages. With the right resolution, dash cams can give you a clear and detailed picture of the road that captures important details, such as plate numbers. Garmin dash cams have the standard 1440p HD and 1080p HD resolutions that, combined with its Clarity HDR optics feature, ensure you get clear and detailed footages day and night.

Save videos instantly with Garmin online storage vault

The videos and still photos your dash cam takes help provide a clear picture of incidents that happen on the road, so having a place online to save all of them just makes sense. Most people want a dash cam so they can show recordings of road incidents as proof, whether for insurance or police purposes, and your dash cam should make them readily available for you when you need them.

With Garmin dash cams you can quickly and easily upload, manage, and share videos online using its online storage vault. When your dash cam detects an incident or if you choose to save a video, it will automatically upload and store your files to the online storage vault for 24 hours. If you want to store your videos for a longer period of time, each Garmin dash cam comes with its own subscription plan.

Through the online storage vault, you can access your videos using your Garmin app, where you can view, trim, and export your videos to save on your phone. What I also like about this feature is that you can easily share your video with anyone simply by providing them a link to that video.

  1. I like the fact that although it can be small an unobtrusive inside the vehicle, it has a wide field of view, thereby capturing external details. I also appreciate the fact that it is voice controlled which is naturally an effective safety feature. A lot of thought went in to developing this product.

  2. I am a long haul truck driver and I drive across Canada and the U.S. I see many, many horrible drivers that do not belong on the road. I do have a video camera that belongs to the company that I drive for, but it would be nice to have this because I like the clear footage for both day/night, and the storage would be a nice back up because when you are on the road you never know what might happen.

  3. The most important feature to me is the online vault automatically stores video clips of incidents which will benefit me by not having to worry about it, its just there!

  4. I like knowing that when I’m on the road that itshe being recorded in case I get into an accident or someone else does

  5. The best feature is the ability to save and manage footage via Garmin’s cloud-based storage.

Will contribute to a worry free driving experience.

  6. Online vault automatically stores video clips of incidents so I don’t have to worry about location of evidence, after an accident.

  7. Online vault automatically stores video clips of incidents so I don’t have to worry about location of evidence, after an accident.

  8. The online storage vault is a great feature but having high resolution of any road incident/attraction is a necessity!

  9. I like kthe idea of an online storage vault. We’ll all need one of these eventually for a truthful account of what happened. Love the online storage.

  10. I like the dual cam. I would drive more confidently having a dash cam and have wanted one for soo long. There is not a morning commute that passes without a person in a truck tailgating, even if your already 20 over the speed limit. Constantly expecting to be rear ended or cut off so badly I run into the vehicle.

  11. Currently using my phone as a DashCam and I’ve been considering a real one like the Garmin, just for having something “always ready” with a 180 degree FoV and that won’t overheat after 30min of recording.

  12. Continuous recording and a very good view from different sides. If I get into an accident, this will help with all details and no lies can be said crash,

  13. Love the security of knowing it’s going 2 store whatever May be pertinent while within my vehicle as it’s a name brand l can trust and reply on in the unpredictability of today’s world and events..great 4 storage and peace of mind

  14. I think the most important aspect of dash cams is obviously the ability to capture and store footage of accidents. This could mean the difference between the police/courts seeing the accident in a favourable light from your point of view.

  15. My favorite function is the ability save videos instantly with Garmin online storage vault. Having a backup is super important for any potential claims.

  16. As a grandmother that drives from BC to Saskatchewan a couple of times a year it would be nice to have the security of a dash cam. I have seen a few things in my travels that I wish I would have had this

  17. I like the ability to save videos instantly with Garmin online storage vault. There are so many insurance scammers and terrible drivers on the roads that I think everyone should have one of these.
