oculus quest 2 untethered gamingAn Oculus Quest 2 is real entertainment like you’ve never experienced before. Whether it’s watching a movie, playing a game, or exploring a new travel destination, you will not believe how close you get to being part of the action. This is definitely one of the hottest entertainment/gaming devices of the year, and we are very happy to be able to offer two as prizes in this contest.

Oculus Quest 2 is virtual reality with no strings attached

Finally VR has become what we all thought it was to begin with. You see, VR promised to allow us to feel like we are in a different place or time. Some do this better than others, and some, like the original Oculus, have been quite amazing. However, it’s hard to totally immerse yourself in a game or movie when an attached cable keeps tugging you back to the real world. That’s one of the immediate advantages of the Oculus Quest 2: with no tether, no attached cable, you quickly lose yourself—the virtual environment essentially becomes the real world for you!

  1. The first Oculus quest I owned was amazing. I played titles like Half Life: Alyx on it using a special program that connects my Quest to my PC, and games like those are revolutionary. I hope a Quest 2 will upgrade the experience for me because of its new specs and features!

  2. This looks like it would be so amazing for FPS games or keeping in contact throughout the holidays with my mother who lives in another state.

  3. I love how the Quest 2 is wireless, great resolution, great games, and wide open for future awesomeness!

  4. I work from home mostly. So wireless VR, being able to move from room to room and take my games.. err…. virtual desktop with me. How awesome is that!? :p

    • There are many things that I find incredibly exciting and groundbreaking about the Oculus Quest 2.

Normally VR has required a cumbersome cable to a high powered computer and video card to generate the computationally intensive virtual worlds. The Oculus Quest 2 is a stand alone vr device with no cable needed which means no potential for tripping, getting caught in the cable, or buying equipment to keep the cable out of the way.

The Oculus quest 2 has internal sensors and camera which have done away with the external sensors that many other vr systems need. This benefits us with no external sensors to setup, no additional cost from buying tripods to hold up the sensors which results in there being more room available for your virtual reality experience.

All of these great features provide full immersion, freedom, and a simplified setup, that can be taken anywhere.

One of the most impressive things about this vr system is the low cost, while being incredibly innovative and offering the same features as other high end vr systems. All in all, it’s incredibly exciting.

Such a low cost could finally being vr to the mainstream. With many more people adopting vr, this will draw the attention of developers and game studios to invest more time and money to create many more immersive experiences.

I would love to use Oculus Quest 2 for games, watching Netflix, and immersive underwater or space environments.

  5. A year ago my 8 son was jumped by a group of middle school kids while walking home from school. Then covid hit. He was by himself while me and his dad still had to go to work. He lost a lot of confidence in himself. In the past year he has been working hard to gain that confidence back. He has been focusing on bringing his grades up from failing to passing. He has been making his own YouTube videos and he has been working mowing lawns to earn the money to buy an oculus quest 2. I’m am so proud how far he has come to overcome this obstacle and feel like this gift would be an awesome and amazing reward he deserves.

  6. The occulus quest 2 is a newer and more affordable than its predecessor. It can’t wait to get my hands on one to explore all its amazing potential.

  7. I very much enjoy that the Quest 2 can not only be used for vr as it’s own system, but also with oculus link to play PC vr games as well!

  8. I’m partially blind and can only see clearly a few inches away, and with the virtual desktop app and movie features this would be life changing for me. Also, my B-Day is December 25th

  9. I would use it for gaming. It has great resolution and no wires is fantastic. But that you can still link it to a computer is key.

  10. Wireless VR with the new chip is going to be awesome! I cant wait to play some Beat Saber & Pistol Whip!!!

  11. Honestly ever since I’ve heard about vr I’ve wanted one and I’ve seen great reviews on it but never had the money to get one unfortunately I don’t have any gaming consoles since my xbox one broke last week and I’ve been itching to get something else to play I wanted to try and enter to win this contest and share the vr experience with my girlfriend of 3 years. She’s always wanted to get into gaming with me but she nor I had the money to a new console so I’m praying that I win this so I can share the vr experience with all my friends and family.

  12. I like that the Quest 2 can be played on it’s own and can be connected to a computer. I will gift it to my dad for christmas so he can play games.

  13. I like the Oculus Quest 2 because it is wireless and because of being able to get immersed in a game or movie.

  14. I loved the oculus rift. Wish I still had it. The quest 2 looks amazing and I can’t wait to get one and play some echo arena again!!!

  15. It’s great that the Oculus Quest 2 can be its own console if you’re on the go, as well as a headset for your computer if you’re looking to play more games.

  16. This headset would help me relieve so much stress from college and just be so much fun playing games and watching videos with my friends that already have the headset.

  17. The oculus quest 2 looks like an absolute upgrade to the first my friends have the first one so im looking to get one myself. I hope i get one and if I dont i might be forced to buy one soon

  18. I love that the oculus quest 2 makes vr much more accessible for the masses. I have always wanted a vr set up but am not at a point in my life where I can spend 2k+ on a good vr set up. I am excited for the quest 2 because of MYST and experimental games such as The Under Presents! I think the Quest 2 will push other companies to make their systems more affordable and accessible. Good for vr!

  19. I love that all ages can play! My grandma lives with us and she would love to play it with her great grandkids! It truly connects families and makes for many new memories!!

  20. I would use it for team meetings at work. My team lead sometimes has 1:1’s with people in VR chat and it would be cool to have work meetings as a VR chat character. I like how no powerful computer is neccesary to use it

  21. Quest 2 would be great for daily entertainment and to experience what VR has to offer at a lower budget.

  22. I would like and Oculus quest for the amazing wireless vr play to do things like beat saber, minecraft vr and more!

  23. Love the tetherless gaming!! An essential to fully enjoy it and be immersed in my opinion. Would love to watch movies and play some horror games on it…

  24. From what I’ve read this is a great system. My 13 year old son is really wanting one they are just so much money. Would be great to win and give to him.

    • I love the hand tracking! I’ve gotten to try out waltz of the wizard and it was so much fun! I also think the pass through is a really interesting feature, I hope they implement it into more games and apps in the future. I’d use it to play population one with my Fiance!

  25. My favorite part of the quest 2 is no pc/wires needed, but it still gives you the option to utilize a pc by offering the link cable. I feel like i would use it for everything it has to offer, games, maybe some movies, and any vr related immersive experience i could come across.

  26. I bought the Quest 1 and now the Quest 2 both from my local best buy and my favorite things to do are PokerStars when I’m lazy and Population One when I got energy. My daughter loves RecRoom and I really want to get her one so we can play together while she’s with her mother. Just a spectacular system to begin with and it just got insanely better. I love the support and updates also.

    • I love how the quest 2 is affordable, looks good, and is powerful. I’d love to play minecraft with link and get lost in virtual worlds.

  27. Oculus Quest 2 looks amazing and playing games with it would feel very realistic. I’m excited to also use it for watch movies and pretending I’m at the big screen during this terrible pandemic.

  28. I love the Oculus quest because it’s a compact wireless package that can still deliver a very good VR experience. I would use it mostly for gaming but watching movies in vr sounds like a super cool experience too

  29. I have a PSVR and love it. However it is a pain to move around and I’m always asked to being it over to my parents. The Quest 2’s all in one form factor would make things 1000% easier

  30. Our entire house is filled with hardcore gamers. Hoping to add this to our home entertainment and to bring more physical activity into our gaming world.

  31. I would love to use a VR Headset with my girlfriend for all the unique experiences they require, especially to try and get her into gaming more! Also they don’t require a lot of base-station setup which my place currently cannot do, so the Oculus Quest 2 is perfect for my case.
