Kill the world’s great DC Super Heroes
Based on iconic DC characters, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an original narrative that takes place in an open-world Metropolis. The game allows you to tailor your experience by either playing by yourself with three other AI teammates, or with up to four players via online co-op.
From the game’s official reveal trailer, we know that the story follows Suicide Squad members Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark. They face a virtually impossible to save Earth and kill the world’s greatest DC Super Heroes, The Justice League.
These unlikely “heroes” are restrained with lethal explosives implanted in their heads. As a result, all four DC Super-Villains have no choice but to band together and carry out this untenable assignment as part of Amanda Waller’s infamous Task Force X.
Meet the Suicide Squad
The game features four playable characters, which if playing solo can be switched to at will. The playable characters featured in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are Harley Quinn (a.k.a. Dr. Harleen Quinzel), the mistress of mayhem; Deadshot (a.k.a. Floyd Lawton), the most dangerous marksman alive; Captain Boomerang (a.k.a. Digger Harkness), Aussie assassin extraordinaire; and King Shark (a.k.a. Nanaue), the demigod humanoid shark and rightful ruler of the seas.
Correspondingly, each squad member has their own unique moveset with enhanced abilities to freely explore the dynamic open-world of Metropolis, along with a variety of weapons to customize and skills to master.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches 2022
All things considered, Rocksteady and Warner Bros Games’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is still a ways off. However, this announcement and official reveal trailer got me excited for what’s in store. Furthermore, with the game launching in 2022, I wasn’t too surprised to see that it will be a Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and PC only experience.
As a big fan of the Batman Arkham games, I’m curious to see how Rocksteady will incorporate their innovative gameplay features into this 1-4 player game.
