In September’s Nintendo Direct digital event, Nintendo revealed a whole slew of exciting news and information on upcoming videogames that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this year and next. Among the many videogames shown there were new details about the new Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass Side Order DLC, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, WarioWare: Movie It! and more!

While I would love to talk about everything revealed during the Nintendo Direct, we’ll take a look at some of the best and hottest announcements on games coming to Nintendo Switch!

Princess Peach Showtime!

The biggest and quite possibly the best news to come from the Nintendo Direct was Princess Peach Showtime! starring the Mushroom Kingdom’s favourite Princess. Earlier this year we got a small glimpse and news of a new game starring Princess Peach. However, during September’s Nintendo Direct the doors were blown wide open on Princess Peach’s newest game. We learned the official name of the game is Princess Peach Showtime! and we learned a little bit about the story of the game.

As Princess Peach and her group of Toad assistants are enjoying a show at the Sparkle Theater, troublemakers Grape and the Sour Bunch suddenly appear on stage, causing chaos. Now, Peach and Stella, the guardian of the theatre, must step up to save the play and the day. Fortunately, as was shown during the gameplay trailer, Peach has acquired some impressive new abilities. She can now harness the power of Stella’s ribbon and even transform herself!

For instance, Peach can become a Swordfighter to defend against enemies with her incredible sword skills, engage in martial arts as Kung Fu Peach, or showcase her baking talents as a pastry chef. But that’s not all – she can also become Detective Peach to solve mysteries! And, these are just some of Peach’s transformations, with more to discover. Princess Peach Showtime! is coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 22, 2024 and I can’t wait to play!

Nintendo fans have been clamouring for a new F-Zero game for years. And, while F-Zero 99 isn’t a brand new game it features courses and machines from the original Super Nintendo game with 99 racers! This Nintendo Switch Online member exclusive game is filled with high-speed and high-stakes action.

Furthermore, your Power Meter is crucial for securing the top spot in each race. It drops when you have a collision, but you can use some of it for a quick speed boost. Running out of power means you’re out of the race! Additionally, as you race, as you accomplish objectives you unlock various cosmetic options for your vehicle. This allows you to be as stylish as you are speedy.
