One of the world’s most popular video game franchises is getting a new game in the series. Minecraft Legends, currently scheduled to launch in 2023, was announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase by Mojang Studios. This all-new game is an action strategy game that is being developed in partnership with Blackbird Interactive.

Mojang Studios has teamed up with Blackbird Interactive, a Canadian video game development studio in Vancouver to create Minecraft Legends. The team at Blackbird had previously been involved in the development of Minecraft Earth and has a long track record of delivering strong strategy gameplay experiences making them the perfect choice.
In Minecraft Legends, you’ll be whisked away to land that is both familiar and mysterious to fans of the series. The game features a campaign that introduces a whole slew of surprises for new and long-time fans alike. The game begins as a piglin invasion has begun and threatens to corrupt the Overworld.
It’s up to you to make friends and form valuable alliances all while leading the way into strategic battles against your enemies. Good news for those looking to play with friends. Minecraft Legends will include online campaign co-op and competitive multiplayer modes. More information is expected at a later date on these modes.
