At the 2022 Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, new details were shared around the latest upcoming video game in the Diablo franchise, Diablo IV. Some of the new information highlighted during the event include a 2023 launch date and cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms.

A truly unique journey through the Sanctuary that is totally customizableÂ
During the 2022 Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, the Necromancer was revealed as the fifth and final class. Player choice is an important aspect of Diablo IV and Blizzard conveyed that players will have nearly limitless ways to play the game. From character customization to exploration of the open world, social systems, to the end game, your journey will be completely up to you.
Those looking for an epic adventure and world to explore will be happy to know that the Sanctuary is a vast, rich, and foreboding open world. During your journey you’ll encounter Strongholds, which are locations besieged by evil forces. You’ll be able to reclaim them for the citizens of Sanctuary, opening new friendly towns and unlocking new dungeons. As a side note, Blizzard revealed that Diablo IV contains almost 150 dungeons! Plenty for you to root out evil throughout the main questline and beyond.
You can further customize your gaming experience in Diablo IV by choosing how and when you want to engage with other players. And, barriers have been removed to now allow players at different character levels, or different points in the story, to form a party. This means that players across Xbox, PlayStation and PC can seamlessly join games with each other through cross-play.

As you can see, Diablo IV is shaping up to be a worthy new entry into the franchise.
