It’s never an easy task to find the perfect holiday gift for a teen. Unless you’ve got great fashion sense, clothes are pretty much out of the question. Well, at least for me. Have you seen the way I dress? The same goes for music, or anything requiring you to really know your kid’s particular—and often ever-changing—tastes. I have a bit of a fear of buying something that will make them roll their eyes the way teens tend to do. But, don’t worry. Despite my fears, I’m always a font of gift-giving ideas that hit the mark. So, in the interest of still maintaining the “cool dad” status this year, I’m going to show you some wireless speakers that make great gifts for teens.
Bose SoundLink Micro Rugged Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker
Bose is always a top name in audio, so you can pretty much be assured you’re getting clean, crisp and wicked awesome sounds from the Bose SoundLink Micro Rugged Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker. It’s nice and portable at 4” tall, and the waterproof design means it’s a perfect speaker for parties at the lake, or dancing in the rain! It features a built-in microphone, so you can take calls or access your digital assistant, plus you can enjoy up to six hours of playtime from a single charge. The Bose SoundLink comes in black, orange, and blue.
JBL Flip 4 Waterproof Bluetooth Wireless Speaker
The JBL Flip 4 Waterproof Bluetooth Wireless Speaker is another compact and waterproof speaker that’s rugged, portable and delivers great stereo sound. Stream your music wirelessly over Bluetooth from up to two compatible mobile devices or take and make calls over the built-in speakerphone. The JBL Flip 4 features dual external passive radiators for booming volume and stereo sound. It also has a waterproof design that not only can take a few spills but can even survive being submerged in water. And, the JBL Flip 4’s battery provides up to 12 hours of continuous play from a charge. The speaker comes in blue, black, red and white.
Sony XB21 EXTRA BASS Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker
Sony is another name that is pretty much synonymous with great sound, so you know your teens will be getting awesome audio with the Sony XB21 EXTRA BASS Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker. The compact, wireless speaker is lightweight and portable, making it an ideal way for your kids to transport their favourite tunes. It has the all-important integrated microphone, so your teens can take your calls hands-free, and the 12-hour battery life means they can blast their music all day long. It also has a Sony’s Extra Bass feature, providing deeper booms and a 3D festival sound. The Sony XB21 is also compatible with Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, AllPlay, and DTS Play-Fi, and it is built rugged enough to withstand splashes and submersion in water.
Beats by Dr. Dre Pill+ Bluetooth Wireless Speaker
Beats by Dr. Dre is one of those cool brands that other headphones and speakers compare themselves to. The Beats by Dr. Dre Pill+ Bluetooth Wireless Speaker is sure to make any teen deliriously happy this holiday season (or, at least not as frowny) with Bluetooth tech that lets them easily pair the speaker with smartphones, tablets or other enabled devices for music, videos and games. It features a two-way crossover system that produces an enhanced sound field to give music killer dynamic range and clarity. And, the tweeter and woofer separation offers the same acoustic mechanics as professional recording studios to deliver rich, clear room-filling sound. Best of all, it comes with a USB input, so you can charge your phone or other device.
While I’m sure one of those speakers would make an awesome gift for your teen this holiday season, you can also find a lot more choices for wireless speakers online at Best Buy. Happy holidays!
And they could party anywhere! These speakers just got to have better battery life to lasts longer.
