Dedicated sports fans spend a fair amount of time glued to their TVs, so Christmas is an ideal time to help make that experience even more enjoyable. If you are having a hard time coming up with some great gifts for the sports junkie in your house, here are some suggestions for you.

This is the ideal gift, since most sports addicts love cool technology, especially ones that they can show-off to all their friends, and will simplify their viewing and channel surfing capabilities. I love the latest Harmony remotes, the Harmony Home Control and the Harmony Ultimate Home, because they not only fully control your entertainment system, but also lots of other devices in your home. Things like lighting, heat (thermostats), door locks, etc. So the ultimate sports fan can control their TV and entertainment system, and unlock the door, turn down the lights, and turn up the heat without getting up from the big game. Bose CineMate 15 Home Theatre Speaker System
The best way to enhance the entertainment value of sports, besides getting a bigger TV, is adding a strong sound system. TVs are so thin these days their speakers just don’t cut it. Bose CineMate 15 is the easiest ways to add the booming sound that Bose delivers to make the impact of every play feel a lot more immersive. I like the CineMate 15 because the system doesn’t take up much space, is easy to set up, and the sound is excellent. It comes with its’ own universal remote, if you don’t go for my first suggestion above – but it won’t be able to control non-entertainment devices like the Harmony can.

For any hard core sports fan, having a few beverages while watching the game is pretty much a core activity, and having the convenience of having beverages nearby is a luxury that once you have it, wonder how you did without it. It may sound lazy, but it is a very nice convenience with the advantage of saving room in your main fridge from the extra game clutter. I like the Haier HNDE03VS because it is stainless steel that looks great, is dual-door with a totally separate freezer compartment, and has plenty of space inside.
Speaking of beverages, have you seen the price of beer? Well, this 10 Litre brewing machine is a foolproof way to make over 20 different kinds of beer. It comes with a tap so you get a draft beer, no bottles required. The Beer Machine also allows you to control the carbonation to suit your taste. I like it a little fizzier, so it is a nice touch to be able add extra fizz.

As long as you can have an Internet connection you can watch the game on your mobile device, even if you have it recorded on your PVR.
