Premium TVs begin with outstanding new technology

I get this question quite frequently on the blog and on social media, “I want to buy a new TV; can you tell me which TV should I get?” My answer is to figure out your budget and space considerations for the room where it will be placed, then get the most future friendly TV with the largest screen that will fit in your home that you can afford. Future friendly means best technology available. And this year is a banner year for new technology in televisions.

I am planning on getting a new set for my home one day. I have a budget in mind and a TV size in mind (65 inch). I haven’t decided which brand to purchase yet because they are all so tempting! Each of the top manufactures has released new televisions with outstanding new technologies that make the colours more vibrant, details clearer, and the overall entertainment experience much better.

Do your research and plan for your next TV

Buying a television does require doing a bit of research. This contest will help you do that so you will know which future friendly Premium TV will be right for your home. There are three television prizes, one from each of the major TV manufacturers, Samsung, Sony, and LG, as shown here.

  17. The 8K resolution in Samsung’s 2020 models looks amazing! I am also impressed by the artificial intelligence and machine learning. Samsung’s 85″ 8K UHD HDR QLED Tizen Smart TV (QN85Q900TSFXZC) model is my favourite because it has the 8K display, quantum dot technology for an impressive picture quality and it is the nicest TV I’ve ever seen!

  19. For LG features, I’m most excited by their inclusion of G-Sync on their OLED line of TVs. Tear-free gaming at 120hz would be a dream on a screen with the picture quality that LG is capable of. In terms of my favourite TV of theirs, I really like the CX. It’s everything the C9 is but even better.

  21. For Samsung features, I’m most excited about their 8K TV upscaling. Imagine watching a 1080p stream and seeing it magically become 8K. I’d love to see the results. My favourite TV of Samsung’s is the Q80R. Very good value for what you get.

This TV has more than 33 million pixels, it combines realistic cinema viewing and enhanced sound quality to deliver premium home entertainment. I also like the HDR (high dynamic range) which provides a higher level of contrast between light and dark screen images for a truly realistic picture

  24. Sony’s X1 Ultimate chip is probably the best in the industry when it comes to image processing. It also helps big time when it comes to upscaling. The Sony X950h is my favourite TV of the bunch on Best Buy. It’s a really premium looking TV, the picture quality is superb, it gets bright and it handles HDR like a champ.
