What is your strongest toy related memory from your childhood

When I was a child, deciding what I wanted for Christmas meant hours of joy looking through the holiday catalogue, and writing out a wish list. Looking over page after page of the toy section of the catalogue is a very strong memory for me at this time of year. Many children these days still write a letter to Santa, but they get their ideas online … and Best Buy is a great place for them to look. With webpage after webpage of toys to select, savvy kids can quickly find robots, or building toys, or whatever it is that piques their interest.

Copy and paste is second nature to today’s generation, making creating a digital wishlist super easy for them. Tell them that after looking at Best Buy for their favourite toys this year, to copy it’s name and paste it on their digital letter for Santa. Then all you need to do is go online to Best Buy, insert the name they wrote into the search bar, and in minutes your gift will be shipped to you to have in time to put under the tree on the night of December 24th.

  1. So many choices! As much as I love Lego as a learning toy our grandson is SO into maps and learning about different places that I think the Shifu Orboot Augmented Reality Globe would be wonderful!

  2. What a great selection of toys — I think the The Shifu Orboot Augmented Reality Globe would be an great to teach kids about the world. Love the robot dog – he’s so cute!!

  3. Favourite is the Shifu Orboot Globe – great for the kids to learn about the world’s countries and broaden their horizons.

  4. The Costway electric ride on cars are so amazing. What a way to pull up to school, socially distanced and keeping safe. I love all of them, but I have a special love for the ATV Quad bike. I just think it’s so fun and it a great way to get kids outside rather than indoors on electronics!

  5. I’d love the Wowwee Chip Robot Dog because I’ve always wanted a dog but don’t want to deal with walks in the winter, scooping poop, or expensive trips to the vet . seems like the next best thing!

    • Our guy is begging for a Dash and Dot robot like his class has and Nintendo Switch! I like anything that’s fun for the whole family or that he can learn while having fun!

  6. I think the Shifu Orboot Globe would be excellent for my boys (4+6). They love learning about different places around the world and have wanted a globe for years!

  7. Super stand Jolly Jumper, it keeps my son thoroughly entertained and wears him out which in turns keeps Mama happy because I know where he is, he’s exercising and prepping for a nap 🙂

  8. My favorite is the LEGO Hidden Side: Ghost Train Express. This toy would provide hours of fun and learning for my young grandson who enjoys creating.

  9. The Dutch Blitz card game is the best, I think (and if you’re wondering if it’s a toy – yes, Best Buy lists it under the ‘Toys’ section!).

  10. I remember sitting with the Sears catalogue making a list and going to see Santa to give it to him. I think a great learning toy/tool is the LeapFrog LeapPad Academy – Green – English I only wish they were bilingual.

  11. Our favorite toy is Shifu Orboot Augmented Reality!! Three of my daughters enjoy looking at the world map for a good amount of time.
