What is your strongest toy related memory from your childhood

When I was a child, deciding what I wanted for Christmas meant hours of joy looking through the holiday catalogue, and writing out a wish list. Looking over page after page of the toy section of the catalogue is a very strong memory for me at this time of year. Many children these days still write a letter to Santa, but they get their ideas online … and Best Buy is a great place for them to look. With webpage after webpage of toys to select, savvy kids can quickly find robots, or building toys, or whatever it is that piques their interest.

Copy and paste is second nature to today’s generation, making creating a digital wishlist super easy for them. Tell them that after looking at Best Buy for their favourite toys this year, to copy it’s name and paste it on their digital letter for Santa. Then all you need to do is go online to Best Buy, insert the name they wrote into the search bar, and in minutes your gift will be shipped to you to have in time to put under the tree on the night of December 24th.

  1. Osmo Coding would be wonderful so I could learn to code and be able to hopefully create some kind of app that reminds people to treat others with respect.

  2. My favourite is the Shifu Orboot Augmented Reality Globe – Earth, because it reminds me of a low-tech toy globe I had as a child which helped me learn about different cultures around the world.

  3. My daughters are into LEGO and LEGO Friends. Any building sets have been met with hours of excitement and creative play. The best part about it though is I get to play and create with them!

  4. I know my 7 year old is most excited about the LEGO Super Mario: Adventures with Mario Starter Course. It combines his love of video games and his love of LEGO into one toy 🙂

  5. I am loving the Squeakee the Balloon Dog Interactive Robot Toy I think my son would love it too!! These toys would help make our Christmas a little more special – Best of luck to everyone!! Happy Holidays Best Buy employees

  6. It would easily be the Shifu Orboot Augmented Reality Globe since my kids are always asking me questions about different parts of the world. This could help them learn in a fun, interactive way.

  7. I believe that The Bigly Brothers E58 Pro X Edition 2.4G FPV Drone is one of the best toys provided out there. It gives people of all ages a way to explore new technologies and a way to have fun at the same time. I would recommend it to all others.

    • I would love the osmo coding so this grandfather can learn to code and past it on to my twin grandchildren. They just turned 1 but that gives me a few years to get up to speed.
