Last week, a neighbour posted on our community Facebook page that he had a prowler on his property the previous night. His dog was “yapping like crazy” he said and he saw the back of a dark figure running down his driveway. He had no idea who it was and could not give much of a description. I’m sure this particular prowler didn’t like that this property had a dog.   1. I would like both the the dog and the Argo camera system. People forget about smart locks and security cameras give peace of mind when on vacation.

  4. I’d rather have the Arlo camera. I don’t have to walk it in -30 C weather, or feed it or take it to the vet for shots. I’d love to have a dog but I won’t be able to meet his needs.

  5. Unfortunately, I would not go with a dog because I would have to feed an extra mouth. As such, I would use the Arlo camera system instead, more economical.

  16. I’d like both the Arlo camera and a dog, you can’t pet an Arlo camera or play fetch with it! I think people forget the power adapter and the power bank.

  18. Would love the camera to record any suspicious activity and the dog to wake me up and ward off any trespassers.

  19. I think people forget to use an unlocked cell phone – roaming charges are crazy. And a bringing a travel power adapter is essential depending on where you are going.

  22. I have the dog who barks like a maniac, but that doesn’t deter people from damaging stuff outside. If they see a camera pointed at them, they will likely think twice about it.

  33. Most people forget about security features (like smart locks and security cameras) when going on vacation! You should be carefree on vacation, and so it’s even more crucial not to leave your home vulnerable while you’re away.
