Roland FP-10 KeyboardHoliday music is in the air, and many people will be creating their own using a Roland instrument. Roland keyboards and synths are used by professsional, amateur, and beginner musicians around the globe. You probably didn’t even know you could buy them at Best Buy. You can! And someone will win a brand new Roland FP-10 88 Key Weighted Action Digital Piano in this contest—just in time to play Jingle Bells with all in your social bubble, or on a video chat with the whole family singing along, Brady Bunch style!

Christmas music creates lifelong memories

My best holiday memories involve music. When I was a young lad, my mom would be on the piano all the time. She is a very talented keyboardist and piano teacher, so homemade holiday tunes were a non-stop part of my upbringing. As I grew up, my brothers and I played music together almost every day. Most of my holiday memories, therefore, involve playing holiday songs with my family at home, in church, and many other places.

Many people are creating those musical memories using Roland instruments. Even though I play guitar, I still use Roland tech in the form of Boss effects pedals (Boss is a division of Roland). This contest gives you an opportunity to bring Roland into your home just in time for Christmas!

Roland FP-10 Keyboards are more than just a digital piano

Digital pianos have come a long way, and Roland has been at the forefront of their evolution. The FP-10 is a great example of what you can expect from a premium Roland digital instrument. Piano purists might insist on having an acoustic instrument in their home—and that’s fine. However, many people prefer the consistency, versatility, and portability of a digital instrument: especially one like the FP-10 that very closely approximates the feel and tone of an acoustic.

We sent one of these digital pianos to Nikolai for an honest review. Watch his video and read his review to understand why he really liked this instrument.

Are you ready to gather around this piano with your family social bubble (and/or gather virtually on MS Teams or Zoom) for a holiday singalong? Carefully read the rest of this article for your chance to win.

How to enter

Entering this contest is easy, and you can enter once below this article and once below Nikolai’s review of this piano. In a comment, tell us who in your home will get the most use of this piano (first name only) and what holiday song you hope they will play first.

What you can win

  4. I know my son Darcy would get the most use of this as he seems to pick up every musical instrument very quickly. The first song I hope he plays would be Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.

  5. My girlfriend Marianne would certainly love a keyboard ! She’s been talking about wanting one since last month. She’d probably start with something like ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’.

  6. Michelle. My dream is to learn piano. It’s never too late to start #50’s Rock! Oh come all Ye faithful is what I would attempt to learn first!

  7. My wife, Ana, would love to start learning to play piano from home 🙂 “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” would be a great first song.

  8. The music player in my family-my oldest granddaughter Scarlett who just turned 11 years old! As for the first holiday song…Jingle bells for sure!!

  9. This is an excellent 88key keyboard. My son just entered piano lessons and we are using a hand-me-down 61 key model. Ryker would play Feliz Navidad as that is his dad’s (me!) favorite Christmas tune.

  10. My son carter would love it. First song I hope to hear him play would have to be the classic Jingle bells.

  11. Terry would be the one to play the piano the most. But my son may use it for music recording with his computer. I would likely play some traditional songs like “The First Noel”. I used to have a baby grand but I had to give it up when we moved to a smaller house.

  12. This would be amazing for my son Easton who is the piano player in the family. Thanks for the chance ✌

  13. My daughter would get the most use out of this as she is learning piano. I think we would play Jingle Bells to start.

  14. My son Raymond wants to learn piano he is the one will play and he probably will choose Jingle Bells because he is playing it on guitar

  15. My daughter Georgie 5 would play most. She’s really starting to show a musical interest.
The first song would likely be holiday wording to Hot Cross buns.
    An example:
    It’s Christmas Eve
    Here Santa comes
    Off to bed little ones
    Walk don’t run

  16. I’m fairly musically inclinded myself, but my Son who is 7 has been talking all year about how he would love to learn piano. If’ it wasn’t for the pandemic we would consider lessons.. So my son would DEFINITELY love this for christmas.

I’m guessing the first song he would love to learn is the opening Theme for Star Wars… Pretty huge star wars family. 🙂

good luck everyone! Happy holidays and stay safe please!!!

  17. Me! I used to play a lot when I was younger and then lost touch cos life took over. I’ve been aching to get back into playing the piano and this would be a perfect pandemic/christmas gift!!

  18. ME! I will get the most use out of this. I think I’ll play Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas first.

  19. My father will love this keyboard, he used to play the organ as a teenager at his Orthodox church in his hometown in Greece. I myself also have been learning the guitar and had a few years of piano lessons as a child so I would love to get back to playing. I hope that the first song we get to hear played is Jingle Bells 😉

  20. My little girl 7 years old Naïka she wrote a letter to Santa that she want a Piano for Christmas. Me personally I want a PS5 but Santa cannot help me

  21. My Cat Charlie most likely, always walks on my instruments. He plays a combination of classical jazz with upbeat pop that comes out sounding just terrible.

  22. I used to play piano as up to early teens. I moved and never moved my piano, so I would love to get it going again. Jingle Bell Rock!
