BBQ.jpegHas anyone asked you if it’s spring yet? I’ve been hearing people ask each other this on a regular basis for the past month, and I’m happy to say that yes, I think spring is finally on the way.

For a lot of us, spring means we can extend our kitchens into the great outdoors and enjoy BBQ season again. Not only do I love cooking in the fresh air, but there’s something amazing about BBQ’d food. It just hits every spot I have, and because there are so many different ways to BBQ and so many different dishes you can cook up, the sky is the limit.

If you’re just gearing up for BBQ season or you’re in the market for a new BBQ, here’s everything you need to know to get set up.

There are a lot of pros and not a single con I can think of to having a full size BBQ. I discovered this summer during a reno just how important a BBQ with a side burner was, because I used the grill and the side burner exclusively for cooking for two entire months.

Full size BBQs come in natural gas or propane, and depending on your choice, the sky is the limit as to how big, small, or type of BTU you can choose.

The Napoleon Triumph 50,000 BTU BBQ is small enough for a tiny patio, but it has the grilling power to cook up 30 burgers at one time. The side burner is great if you’re making side dishes at the same time, and the foldable side shelves give you extra space for storage.

If you’re an expert at grilling and you want to branch out as a full-on BBQ foodie, the Napoleon Professional Charcoal BBQ will be your favourite summer companion. You can add charcoal to give your food a smoky flavor, cook up to 38 patties at one time, and there’s even a warming drawer and a rotisserie burner.

When you’re on a camping trip, go to sports events, or just want a BBQ you can take with you on the go, you need a portable BBQ. Portable BBQs are compact and easy to move, but they have the grilling power of a full size BBQ.

I love charcoal grilling so the Napoleon Rodeo Charcoal Kettle Grill is the portable BBQ I’d choose for a summer of fun. You can cook 16 large burgers on it at one time, and it’s got wheels for easy moving.

Just because you go portable doesn’t mean you can’t use propane, and the Char-Broil Patio Bistro 180 TRU-Infrared tabletop grill is a propane portable BBQ that has enough space for food prep plus a grill big enough to cook a family BBQ.

BBQ Accessories

Once your BBQ is all set up, it’s time to branch out into accessories. BBQ accessories let you expand how you cook on the grill, and you can find everything from a Vacu Vin Skewer to cook the perfect chicken and beef skewers to a rotisserie kit designed for Napoleon Triumph BBQs.

My must-have BBQ accessory? The BBQ Devil BBQ Tool Kit. You don’t want to flip your burgers or chicken with a plastic spatula or tongs you use in the kitchen, and this set decks you out with everything you need to BBQ.

Spring has sprung and grilling season is here. Check out everything BBQ on Bestbuy.ca and get ready to take your grill skills to another level.
