Students need at least two Herschel Supply products to be prepared for school. For the general items, a backpack or messenger bag is perfect to carry school books, note paper, pens, and their laptop. How many backpacks have you bought over the years? I have bought many … too many to count in fact. Some years, I’ve had to buy several after a backpack was damaged by weather or something. Never put your moms undies in your backpack no matter how pretty and frilly they look. It’s sure to raise a few eyebrows and makes for some embracing phone conversations and red faces on there retrieval believe me, I know.

Never pack (1) forgettable sandwiches and (2) loose paper. The number of times I left a sandwich in there as a kid, with gruesome results… Same goes for loose paper. :p
Never put your pet in your backpack … it could get squashed .. suffocate or scare someone.

Mine put a banana and a chocolate bar at the bottom with her books on top on a day when it was 28. She forgot about it Friday night, I picked up her bag of the floor on Sunday night and had 100 ants going everywhere openned the bag to a bunch of fruit flies. Not fun

Hi my friend had a young daughter that found a box of tampons and made a little house from them, almost took it to school for show and tell! The little girl had no idea what they were, just glued them all together and thought it was cool!

My oldest always misplaces his coffee. So likely its not going in his bag, it will be left on the piano to get cold.

A toad. A student at recess found a toad and was persistent on keeping it safe in their backpack. I had to unfortunately tell them that the toad prefers it’s natural habitat over a backpack!

Anything that leaks can be a problem – have seen many a juice pack explode in a backpack during my days in school basically making it useless and needing replacement.
Never put a carton of chocolate milk in a backpack. If it gets squished, it leaves a sticky mess everywhere
