How smart is your computer monitor

The word “smart” gets thrown around a lot these days whenever people are talking about tech. Sometimes it means it connects to the internet, so you can access features via an app. Smart lights are examples of this. At some point in the future, “smart” devices will uniformly predict when and how you want to use them and behave appropriately without your intervention. Samsung smart monitors fall somewhere between these two.

The Samsung M5 and M7 monitors we are giving away in this contest offer a better experience that most monitors. My daughter recently bought a monitor and I offered to send her a Roku streaming stick so she could watch movies on it in her apartment. However, the monitor didn’t have internal speakers so she could watch movies but couldn’t hear them. The Samsung M5 and M7 do have speakers. However, they have a lot more than that.

  1. I think the Samsung M7 would be a great choice for students. The large 32″ screen space allows for better multi-tasking with a single monitor setup.

  15. The M7 of course. Even in tight space, I can’t think of any student I knew who wouldn’t want the larger screen. The UHD to ease the strain on the eyes when doing homework; Then the bigger screen the to watch videos while laying in a bed that is normally all jammed into one room.

The Samsung M7 32″ 4K Ultra HD 60Hz 4ms GTG VA LED Smart Monitor would be better for a student, because not only would it give them a lot of screen real estate for their school work, it would also provide a good size screen for enjoying gaming or TV watching. And because this monitor can do it all, and many students have limited physical space, it would cut down on the space needed for both work and fun, since they would only need the one screen to do both.

  27. The 27″ FHD LED display panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution, on the Samsung M5 Monitor would be best for a student as the quality of the picture would be super clear and accurate, and would make studying much better!

  30. This would be great for a student for the reason that if your computer died and you didn’t have money or couldn’t replace it at least you still have a functioning television.

  32. I would recommend M5 to a student considering the price point (it’s also on sale at the moment). Also 32 inch (M7) might be little too big for students who usually have small rooms. 27 inch (M5) on the other hand might provide students with more desk space as well.

  34. i think a student would enjoy the M7, larger screen, more info to see at one time. and also serving as a tv i am sure would be enjoyed, though it takes a smaller more amt of space, still the student would save space not having to have a tv also! it’s a win-win..the M7!

  36. Having been a design student, I would have to say the M7. The larger area of screen would be great to view objects easier.

  41. The M7 would be best for a student just because it is a larger size. When you are watching TV or using a screen for work bigger is always better. You can fit more of what you are working on the screen at one time.
