One of the most personal technologies has to be the ereader, like those offered by Kobo. I realize that some of them can surf the web and view multimedia, but for me, they are made for reading books. They are perfectly designed for that one simple task. They are lightweight, with a display that is easy on the eyes in daylight, or at night, and they easily fit in one hand. Why do I love Kobo eReaders so much

Let me tell you a little story, a true story. Once upon a time I had a Kobo ereader, a gift from my children, and I used it all the time. I read a huge assortment of novels on my cherished Kobo: mysteries, historical fiction, classics, trashy pop fiction, non-fiction and more. My brain was filled with great characters and great stories. I took my Kobo everywhere: on cruises in the Caribbean, on flights to Europe, and even back and forth in my car daily so that at any moment I could take a few minutes’ break, just me and my Kobo.

Then tragedy struck: one evening while rushing to take groceries into the house to make dinner, I forgot my Kobo in the car. Wouldn’t you know it, a thief broke into my car and stole it. I was shattered! End of story. However, I still feel the loss. You never know how much you love something until it’s gone.

  4. Kobo ereaders just have that premium feel to them that kindles don’t. Maybe I’m biased. I’m also never used to the concept of having a literally library’s worth of books in my backpack at any given time…

After having the damaged lens in my left eye replaced I could no longer see well enough to read pocket books which was terrible to me because I was a voracious reader, but then my husband bought me my first Kobo e-reader and I loved it. I could adjust the size of the letters to where I can read them and with the backlighting and how lightweight it is I am able to read anywhere, anytime. Kobo has a large selection of books of all types and I have been able to read my favorite authors again. I am on my third Kobo e-reader and would never change brands.

  45. I love Kobo ereaders cause I have arthritis im my hands and holding a regular book gets hard on me after a while. They are light and turning page is easyier than a book. Also I can have many books to choose from so thats great.

  49. Having it in the vehicle to read at lunchtime would be a lot more convenient than keeping a small library in the backseat.
