A Kobo ereader will likely have you reading a lot more. In fact, the newest ereader in their lineup, the Kobo Nia, with its slim, no frills approach, is all about what you are reading rather than what you are using to read. It’s light enough for anyone to hold for prolonged periods and small enough to fit into a pocket or a handbag. And it’s going to be a great prize for two people who read through my short article and enter this contest.

You won’t want to put down the Kobo Nia ereader

I love reading as much as I love writing. I have done plenty of both in my life. Of course, my job as Editor in Chief of the Best Buy Blog requires me to write a lot of articles—and read even more articles. However, I still make time for writing and reading as a pasttime; not as much as I would like to or as I did in the past, unfortunately. You see, I once had a Kobo; that was when I was writing and reading a lot. One of the first things I did after I finished writing my first novel was to upload it to my Kobo. I was so used to reading on the Kobo that I found it much easier to read and edit my own books on the Kobo too. I found it really helped my creative process.

The fact is, when you have a Kobo, you will likely get more interested in books. Partly, it’s the convenience; partly it’s the ease of picking it up and having thousands of books right there in your hands. I don’t read as much as I used to—as I said, my Kobo was stolen. It’s about time I go out and buy another one!

What will you read first on the Kobo Nia ereader

Do you have more than one book on the go at any one time? I always have more than one that I’m reading. The Kobo Nia is perfect for people like you and me since all your books can be in one place. The first book I’d put on an ereader is Kazuo Ishiguro’s “The Buried Giant.” I rarely get into fantasy type stories but I’m about 100 pages in and this one has me hooked. I would likely add a few of Ishiguro’s books now that I know I love his writing style.

Of course, you could add books to any Kobo: they have models that are waterproof, models with bigger screens … so choose the one that works for you. Ted recently reviewed the Kobo Nia and he pointed out many of the features found in the range of Kobo devices, but emphasized that the Nia is perfect for what you need it for: reading. Read his review, decide on an ereader, then load it up with books or get a subscription from Kobo and open your world to books, books, and more books.

  1. The Kobo Nia would be my choice because of it’s light weight. With arthritis, even a tiny amount of weight can make a difference. The first book I would download would be John Grisham’s Camino. I have seen some extremely good reviews about this book. Thanks again Best Buy for another amazing opportunity.

  2. 6000 books, weeks of battery life, anti glare and fits in your pocket would make this NIA the perfect fit for me! I could slide it in my pocket, grab my chair and head to the park!
It’s truly a toss up what i would download first, bu it would be either a new John Grisham or ALL of Kay Hoopers’ books (while i wait until April 2021) for her new one!

  3. I would love to win a Kobo Libra for my 90 year old mom. She reads so many books and she’s having trouble holding them because she isn’t as strong as she used to be. This Kobo would help her so much to give her back the joy of reading again without the heavy books. Thank you

  4. My favorite Kobo because of it’s awesome features is the Kobo Libra H2O. Perfect to take anywhere. If I had a new ereader (mine is 13+ years old, and the buttons are sticking) I would add The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle.

  5. The Kobo Libra H2O 7″ Digital eReader w/Touchscreen (N873-KU-BK-K-EP) & SleepCover Case is my favourite and the first book that I would add is Moby Dick as it is something that I have always wanted to read!

  6. The kobo libra h2O is wicked and i would love to have this. Im reading a series by james patterson right now and anything on there by him i would most certainly read !!

  7. As sexy as the Nia appears to be … my heart belongs to the Kobo Libra H2O 7″ Digital eReader w/Touchscreen.
I’ve been drooling about the prospect of having one, but man oh man … with my new “Covid budget”, buying one seems a distant dream. The first book I would load onto it though would be “Doors of Stone” by Patrick Rothfuss. (They say it should be published any day now. Hopefully after 6 years they’re finally right! )

  8. Kobo Libra H2O 7″ Digital eReader with Touchscreen (N873-KU-BK-K-EP) – Black. I would read all of the Tom Clancy novels I could get.

  9. Kobo Libra H20 is my favorite right now, the minute I get a free time I jump right into reading, in though it’s for five, ten minutes it doesn’t matter.

  10. my current Kobo Aura is reaching the end of life, power switch needs replacing and no one does that so time for a new kobo.

  11. La Kobo Libra H20 serait un bon choix pour moi qui a recommencé à lire dernièrement avec beaucoup plus de temps devant moi car je suis à la retraite bien méritée. J’aime beaucoup les livres d’intrigues policières. Merci pour ce concours

  12. I love the Kobo Libra. I love that it can be landscape and the buttons for flipping pages makes all the difference. The first book is add is the book “A Man Called Ove – Fredrik Blackman”.
