If that doesn’t work it’s no problem: you’ll receive a call from a delivery specialist ahead of time to go over your order, and you’re free to reschedule your delivery time during that call. If you need to reschedule after that you can do so up to 48 hours before your scheduled delivery by calling 1-866-585-4494.

You’ll find the Home Delivery Personnel to be fast, efficient, and professional. Not only will they protect your floors by using carpet runners and booties, but they’ll un-box it so you can inspect it, place it in the area designated for it, and clean up any excess packaging left over.

Some appliances are plug and play, so the delivery personnel can place it in the right area, plug it in, and it’s up and running. Other appliances, like dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, or cooktops, may need extra connections or hookups to work.

You can request an install when you speak to a delivery specialist after you purchase your new appliance, or you can ask for an install from a sales associate if you buy in-store.

  1. i would have to agree that this is the worst experience ever. Ordered 6 new appliances on Sep. 7. Took over a month for the delivery of the items because they said i was in a remote location. i am within 15 minutes of 2 Best Buy locations. Upon delivery i found that the washing machine was damaged i wouldn’t accept it. I have called 4 times asking about my replacement & have been promised each time that a supervisor would contact me within 24-48 hours. I haven’t talked to a supervisor yet. They were pretty quick to take my money. It’s a shame they aren’t as quick to give me what i paid for. Terrible customer service.

  2. Ordered major appliance on line. Delivery date was over a month following the order — did not know that until after the order was placed. No one called the day before with a 3 hour delivery window, as was promised in the email sent when the order was placed. On the day before delivery, had to wade through a complicated phone menu several times to try to get info, which was not available (even after 3 pm as stated) and then wade through again to contact an agent. Waited a long time on hold. The CS agent thought the order was canceled, which it was not. Today is supposed to be the delivery day, and still no one has contacted me. I hope this will get sorted out in a satisfactory way, but I will definitely never buy another major appliance from BestBuy, and if the delivery does not work out today I will consider canceling the order. The company definitely does not care about providing a positive delivery experience for the customer. Wish I had ordered from one of the other companies I considered — I would have the appliance by now, probably without the headache.

  3. Worst experience ever. We have had appliances delivered last month, they did not check any appliances for performance. I was double checking for any damages. I found a dent below freezer door and the guys told me they will get us $200 gift card for it. I agreed but never received a gift card nor any communication from best buy. I have been calling to 1-866-585-4494 for a month, I have called them 7 times, every time they say, someone will contact you in 24-48 hours, some even say a manager will call me but I never received a call or email. Worst service ever. We will avoid shopping at best buy.

  4. Why doesn’t Best Buy advertise that delivery time for a large appliance is over a month or longer? They should tell you this BEFORE you place the order.

  5. My experience (dishwasher installation) is far from described above…
    1) there was no carpet runners etc.. they dragged my new and old machines over my engineered hardwood.
    2) no inspection of the new machine, etc
    3) I was left with a pile of debris from the packaging.
    4) When they were ready to leave, I was presented with his cell phone and was asked to sign on two black lines to confirm that installation is completed. I had no idea what I signed until I got the email from bestbuy with a copy of the complete document… confirmation that installation was done properly etc.
    5) here is the worse past… after my first load, I noticed That water was just sitting in my very very long draining hose under my sink, I had to lift that thing to drain the water out…
    6) oh and they tried to charge me $79?$89$ for a set of hose. I happened to have a set at home which I got for $40-$50 at Lowe’s. I just found out from bestbuy that the installation does include an installation kit so I am not sure why they want to charge me again. I live in a condo with pretty standard set-up so it should be an easy in and out installation.
    Anyway, I contacted my bestbuy sales rep and she is going to arrange for another contractor to come. She replied to my SOS pretty quickly so I am still hopeful 🙂
