Review: A better fit with the Fitbit Charge 2

Fitness bands are a pretty personal product. Ask anyone who has one, and you will either get a rave review or a depressing story of feeling letdown by what the device promised. Fitbit has emerged as a category leader in this area, and what it does can set the tone for others, which in turn, sets the bar higher for the Charge 2.

Review NOON VR Goggles for Smartphones

We’re still in the opening days of the VR revolution. The latest to come across my desk is NOON VR. It’s not actually spelled NOON, it’s N-infinity symbol-N, but we’re going to call it Noon for the sake of our sanity. How is it for getting VR out of your phone? Read on to find out

Fan Expo 2016: PlayStation VR hands-on with RIGS, Rush of Blood,...

This past weekend at Fan Expo Canada 2016, PlayStation Canada gave me a special preview of two of their upcoming PlayStation VR games—RIGS: Mechanized Combat League and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. Following that, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment let me “become the Batman” in their all-new virtual reality game, Batman Arkham VR. All three VR games offered a thrilling sneak peak of the future of PlayStation gaming where immersive, 360-degree experiences will take centre stage.

A day in the life of a student with a smartwatch

Back to school is right around the corner, so if you are one of the many students heading back to campus this year, I can imagine you are busy loading up on supplies like notepads, textbooks, pens, highlighters, and perhaps even a new laptop or tablet. Wearable Fashion Takes Center Stage at Toronto’s Life and Tech Expo

0
Last night, the Best Buy event closed with a fashion show that focused on wearable tech. For those of you who don’t want to admit it, this phenomenon is here to stay! The beauty of these devices is that they help you monitor your health, fitness goals, calorie intake, etc. But while they may provide useful information, let’s be honest: you’ll attach a gadget to your body only if it’s fashionable. This year’s fashion show was even better than...

Review: Samsung Gear Fit2 is a better fit than the past

0
Samsung doesn’t give up easily, it seems. The company has repeatedly tried and tried again to create a winner in the wearables category, only to achieve mixed results. The Gear Fit2 isn’t a smartwatch, but rather a fitness band that can sort of act like a smartwatch because of its large screen and litany of features.
