Thinkware Dash Cams are easy to setup and use devices that deliver a wide range of benefits. Many people are aware that they could use the captured footage from a dash cam to help establish their innocence if they get into accident. However, they may not be aware of some of the other amazing benefits dash cams offer. You’ll find out for yourself how great these are if you read the information below before entering this contest. And if you enter this contest, you might win one of eight new Thinkware dash cams.

Thinkware dash cams are easy to use

I’ve sent Thinkware dash cams to various writers and there are a few commonalities across these reviews. First of all, they all found the installation and set up of the device extremely simple. For example, Dave Neufeld wrote, “Getting up and running with the Thinkware F70 Dashcam could scarcely be much easier.” In her review, Shelly Wutke said, “… it couldn’t have been easier.” Matt Paligaru explains how easy it is to install the front camera of the F200 he was sent then stated, “Installing the rear camera is just as easy.” And, after testing the F800 Brad Moon stated, “First up, installation of the dash cam was easy.”

See a pattern here? Multiple different independent reviewers, using different Thinkware dash cam models, all found that these are easy to set up. Furthermore, they all had no issues with using them as intended.

Why would you want a dash cam

Another commonality across all of these reviewers was what they saw as an important reason to get a dashcam: insurance claims. No one likes to be falsely accused of causing an accident. Dash cam footage has been used by many people to prove their innocence when the evidence was unclear or especially when the other party in the accident was not honest. Dash cam footage has also been used to help people get out of traffic tickets issued erroneously. “I didn’t go through a red light, officer; and, I can prove it!”

If you have teenagers, then a dash cam is a great motivator for them to driver responsibly: everything will be recorded and reviewed when the car is returned. Speaking of reviewing footage: you can also do this after a week of driving to help self-diagnose bad habits and become a safer driver youself.

Of course, you are likely familiar with one other benefit: capturing amazing or shocking events. I live on a tiny island, where the deer outnumber people 3 to 1, so I would likely capture a ton of footage of deer crossing the road if I had one. But YouTube has many examples of people capturing really cool footage like fireballs and meteorites—all thanks to owning a dashcam.

  1. the Thinkware F800 PRO Full HD 1080P Dashcam with Rear Camera & Wifi. would be good for our road trips!

  2. I think the X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam with 2.7″ Touchscreen would meet my needs. I would like to be able to record action around my vehicle so there is no doubt about who is at fault should an accident occur.

  3. I like them all but if I had to choose a favorite then that would be the Q800 pro. My wife does a lot of driving to and from Toronto and really needs a dash cam for safety on the overcrowded highways and streets. My dash cam has been important in two incidents. The dash cam she was given isn’t very good, it’s old and not much storage so a new one could be a real lifesaver.
Also our upcoming drive to Victoria BC through the US on the way there and Canada on the way back needs a great cam to show the kids.

  4. Thinkware x700 full he 1080p dashcam and rear camera because there are bad drivers behind you too!

  5. My favorite is the Thinkware Q800PRO 2K Dashcam with Wi-Fi. I would like to capture a photo of a deer jumping over the hood of my car on the highway. Missing my car, of course! The beauty of wildlife in nature is wonderful to see.

  6. I would choose the Thinkware Q800PRO. I love the 2K QHD resolution feature that ensure clearer images. I would use this dash cam to record my drives through the countryside and capture video of the wildlife.

  7. I’d go with the Thinkware F800 PRO Full HD 1080P Dashcam with Rear Camera & Wifi.
Great to have for driving on B.C. highways.

  8. I think the fact the X700 comes with both a front and rear facing camera, that would be the best to cover anything unusual! We usually go on road trips and would be nice to capture scenic routes. Thanks for the chance!

  9. Any camera would be nice would love to capture every moment and memory we make with family

  10. Thinkware X700 would be great with the front and rear cameras, but the F800 has the night vision which would be awesome too.

  11. I would choose the Q800PRO dashcam because of the high review score. If I had this I would definitely enjoy using it to film wildlife on a beautiful country drive!

  12. Thinkware X800pro Dash Cam with WI FI would be my choice if I was chosen. I am hoping to catch anyone damaging my vehicle. Thanks for the opportunity.

  13. Thinkware Q800PRO 2K Dashcam with Wi-Fi. Hope to capture our road trips – wildlife, and its natural beauty.

  14. X700 is one lol but need more then one, forward one to catch the crappy driving of other drivers so i can post on social media (hope u can edit) backwards one as i have a 2005 camry and it doesnt have one but my 2019 Special needs school van has a back up camera and i love it but l miss it in summers, so front or back only way to go

  15. The Thinkware F800 1080p Dashcam with Super Night Vision & WiFi would be great to spot moose on or near our highways at night.

  16. I like the Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera. I travel a lot along the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton and there is so much to see. Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife. This dash cam would be awesome.

  17. I am loving the Thinkware F800 for Super Nightvision. Being able to see the wild life on my way home from work would be amazing. I live in a area that has lots of deer and other wild life that cross many spots of the highway or hide in the bushes. As well as when its parked In sure we get lots of animal visits we are not aware of while we are alseep.

  18. Since the Thinkware X700 comes with both a front and rear facing camera, that would be the best to cover all angles! Hoping to catch some wildlife during trips to the cottage!

  19. I would love to win the
Thinkware Q800Pro it would be cool to capture any type of wildlife

  20. I want a Q800PRO due to its nightvision feature. I would like to capture a rare astronomical phenomenon 🙂

  21. Thinkware F800 for Super Nightvision. Capturing drivers around me, not only for my own safety, but for everyone else on the road and sidewalks. There have been far too many accidents lately

  22. I think …thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera to capture everything around me.

  23. I’m liking the Thinkware F800 for the Night Vision. Just capturing driving in general is a godsend. I currently have a low end model, and it has already saved me from a stop sign ticket. The look on the officers face when I pointed out the camera when I called her on her BS was priceless.

  24. I really like the Thinkware F800 because of the night vision. What I would want to capture is something spooky or paranormal at night.

  25. I like the Q800Pro cause it looks cool and has wifi. Would love to catch a meteor on it like the one in Russia

  26. I like the Q800pro. I suspect that all it would ever capture is the daily drive through the city on the way to work and back. Road clowns would be an interesting camera capture (if they even exist)

  27. The Thinkware X700 comes with both rear and front cameras to record critical evidence involving incidents of all sorts around your vehicle.

  28. Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera so I can capture everything around me. I also like the park mode option.

  29. I’d like the F800 for it’s parking surveillance mode, and Forward Collision Warning System. I would hope to capture any malfeasance.

  30. They all look great, but my top choice would be the Thinkware QA100 Elite 2K 1440p Quad-HD Wifi. I’d love to capture some nature along the sides of the road on our trips to the cabin!

  31. They all look like fantastic dash cams but I would love the Thinkware Q800Pro for it’s wide angle viewing and the 2K QHD resolution. We often drive in the country and off the beaten path so it would be great to capture some wildlife too.

  32. Thinkware Q800PRO 2K Dashcam with Wi-Fi is great and would love to capture a peaceful drive along the Rockies.

  33. Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera would love to catch something unusual

  34. I feel the Thinkware X700 Full HD 1080p Dash Cam & Rear Camera is my favourite since it seems like the best value for a rear camera setup. I would hope (*knock on wood) to catch the footage from a vehicle collision to ensure I am fully covered by my insurance.

  35. I like the Thinkware Q800PRO 2K Dashcam with Wi-Fi. I hope to capture some ducks crossing the road.
