Thinkware Dash Cams are easy to setup and use devices that deliver a wide range of benefits. Many people are aware that they could use the captured footage from a dash cam to help establish their innocence if they get into accident. However, they may not be aware of some of the other amazing benefits dash cams offer. You’ll find out for yourself how great these are if you read the information below before entering this contest. And if you enter this contest, you might win one of eight new Thinkware dash cams.

Thinkware dash cams are easy to use

I’ve sent Thinkware dash cams to various writers and there are a few commonalities across these reviews. First of all, they all found the installation and set up of the device extremely simple. For example, Dave Neufeld wrote, “Getting up and running with the Thinkware F70 Dashcam could scarcely be much easier.” In her review, Shelly Wutke said, “… it couldn’t have been easier.” Matt Paligaru explains how easy it is to install the front camera of the F200 he was sent then stated, “Installing the rear camera is just as easy.” And, after testing the F800 Brad Moon stated, “First up, installation of the dash cam was easy.”

See a pattern here? Multiple different independent reviewers, using different Thinkware dash cam models, all found that these are easy to set up. Furthermore, they all had no issues with using them as intended.

Why would you want a dash cam

Another commonality across all of these reviewers was what they saw as an important reason to get a dashcam: insurance claims. No one likes to be falsely accused of causing an accident. Dash cam footage has been used by many people to prove their innocence when the evidence was unclear or especially when the other party in the accident was not honest. Dash cam footage has also been used to help people get out of traffic tickets issued erroneously. “I didn’t go through a red light, officer; and, I can prove it!”

If you have teenagers, then a dash cam is a great motivator for them to driver responsibly: everything will be recorded and reviewed when the car is returned. Speaking of reviewing footage: you can also do this after a week of driving to help self-diagnose bad habits and become a safer driver youself.

Of course, you are likely familiar with one other benefit: capturing amazing or shocking events. I live on a tiny island, where the deer outnumber people 3 to 1, so I would likely capture a ton of footage of deer crossing the road if I had one. But YouTube has many examples of people capturing really cool footage like fireballs and meteorites—all thanks to owning a dashcam.

  1. I think I would want the Q800Pro for our vehicle especially with younger drivers in the family. Always nice to have the safety net of a dash am for backup in case of emergency

  2. F200 would work for me! We live on an island and drive all over valleys and mountains, would love to capture all the wildlife we come across.

  3. The F800 Sounds great! Would be amazing to have on my frequent roadtrips, so I can have the scenic views on camera!

  4. I have wanted a dash cam for years! Its a great tool to have on your car, these look so wonderful! They all have so many pros and cons but I really enjoy all the features of the thinkware f200 dash cam

  5. the Thinkware F800 sounds like a great compact one with both a dash & rear cam and that it also has night vision. I’d like to be able to remotely monitor my vehicle to see what’s going on around my car at night.

  6. Living in a rural area outside Winnipeg, I would say the F800 would be my choice. A lot of wildlife crosses our highways in the evening and the F800, with its extreme night vision, would surely capture these critters on video. Thanks for the opportunity.

  7. Q800PRO is my favourite. I would love to catch some of that goofy stuff on tape that no one ever believes you when you tell them !

  8. Q800PRO- I drive the 401 and it would be great to have dash cam in case I get into an accident caused by the other jerks on the highway.

  9. I would choose the Q800PRO for its 140-degree viewing angle and 2K QHD resolution! I would love to capture pics of wildlife in the evening.

  10. It’d have to be the Thinkware F800 1080p Dashcam with Super Night Vision & WiFi. Safety for wildlife during night driving.

  11. I think the Q800PRO would be a great dash cam. I would use it to catch the great views on vacation and also if I got into an accident.

  12. I’d chose the Q800Pro. I am actually looking to capture nothing, because then nothing would have happened to me or my vehicle. But, just in case, I would like to capture anything that would help to either prove my innocence and or help to explain what has happened if I or my children were involved in a crash. I particularly like the super night vision.

  13. If you’re going to get a dashcam, get the best! I would definitely get the U1000 with it’s amazing 4K Resolution. Really helps capture those terrible drivers here and those hit and runs that happens frequently!

  14. To me the, the X700 sounds like a great one with both a dash & rear cam and that it also has night vision tech. I would be using it to capture road trips and sharing those with friends and family. I would also use it to catch careless and reckless drivers.

  15. I would be thrilled with any of the dash cams as I have never used one. Otherwise if I had to choose one perhaps the Q800PRO.

  16. I would choose the F800. I would definitely use it to assist the police if it captured a crime that occurred.

  17. I would love the F800 as it has the Super Night Vision which compensates for low-light conditions

  18. F800 for the rear so I could watch my back end so I keep the tailgaters who drive too close on record of something ever were to happen. Always great to own a dash cam.

  19. I’d be thrilled with anything. I choose an F200 (or whatever you want to get rid of). Lynx have been spotted in our area and it would be such a treat to see him!

  20. The Q800Pro is certainly my favourite with all the bells & whistles, however I’d be happy to win any one of these great dash cams as I don’t have one. I’d love to film some of the wildlife in my neighbourhood.

  21. f200 Dg dashcam X720p rear camera with wifi and gps would like that one hoping to catch Bigfoot to finally put it all to rest..

  22. Thinkware U1000 4K UHD Dash Cam with Rear Camera & Wi-Fi is my favourite because it has all the features. It would be cool to capture some extreme weather.

  23. Thinkware F800 PRO Full HD 1080P Dashcam with Rear Camera & Wifi would be great on my camero

  24. Q800Pro for the clearest 1440P hi-def recording, wifi, night vision, and sound capability.

  25. The Thinkware X700 package has greatness in that everything is included, memory cards would be great to Exchange for different events.
