Testing out the Roborock H6 Adapt
The Roborock H6 Adapt is a great looking stick vacuum cleaner. I love the candy apple red colour. It’s also one of the lightest stick vacuums I have tried out, and you can easily pick it up and reach up into the corner of any room without strain.
I’m a huge fan of the small OLED screen on the front of the vacuum. It gives you just enough detail that you’re never guessing what’s happening with your battery or what suction level you’re at, and it’s crisp, clear, and easy to read.
Suction on the Roborock H6
The Roborock H6 Adapt can provide up to 150W of suction power, and I was impressed with how the suction remained strong no matter what I was cleaning. We’re in the middle of a kitchen renovation and I used the H6 Adapt to pick up a lot of dust and debris. Even the fine dust was easy to remove with this stick vacuum.
One feature on the Roborock H6 Adapt that I really love is Carpet Boost. When you’re vacuuming and you transition from hard floor to carpet, the H6 Adapt will automatically boost suction. It’s a great feature because it saves you from having to press boost yourself. As soon as you transition back to the hard floor, the carpet boost turns off to save battery.
Run time and battery life
My house is fairly small. I never clean floors for more than 20 minutes at a time, so the battery on the Roborock H6 Adapt never ran out on me. I stayed mostly in Eco mode, only switching to Max when the vacuum would switch itself or I thought I needed a bit of extra power.
The vacuum will maintain its charge when you’re not using it and it’s not on the charger, so it took me 2 days of off and on cleaning to drain the battery to 30%. Normally I would put the vacuum back on the wall to store it anyway, and because it plugs back into the charger it was almost always at 100%.
If you do drain your battery it will take approximately 4 hours to recharge it.
Air Purification System
The 5-stage air purification system on the Roborock H6 Adapt is very well designed. It will capture up to 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. I tested it out while removing dust from my counters during our kitchen renovation. Although I was picking up a lot of fine dust, it was all trapped inside the vacuum.
My son has dust allergies and he couldn’t use our older canister vacuum because he’d start sneezing, but even vacuuming carpets with the Roborock didn’t stir up his allergies.
There are several filters on this vacuum, in the front and rear, and they are easy to pull out when you want to clean them. You can also pull off the entire dust bin and clean it out.
Trigger lock button
The Roborock H6 Adapt can be set to clean without you having to hold down the trigger. There is a small button on the side of the vacuum you press and it gives you continous cleaning without you having to keep pressing.
This is a great feature on a stick vacuum, especially if you’re using the vacuum to reach up to remove dust strings or you’ll be cleaning for a long time.
An attachment for everything
There are several attachments included with your Roborock H6 Adapt and they all store neatly on the wall mount when you’re not using them. I used the powerhead for the most part, only switching to the mini powerhead when cleaning the interior of the car or trying to get into a small corner.
I love the included Flex Tube. It lets you get into very awkward spots you wouldn’t be able to access with a standard straight tube. When you pair it with the crevice tool, you can dig into the hard-to-reach corners of your stairs or corners on your floor.
Should you choose the Roborock H6 Adapt stick vacuum?
I’ve always liked Roborock, and I’ve really enjoyed using the Roborock H6 Adapt. It’s a great looking vacuum, everything stores and charges on the wall, and it has a long 90-minute battery life and large dust bin.
The 5-stage air filtration system is a must-have if you have someone with allergies in your home. Some vacuums will send dust everywhere when you’re cleaning it, but the Roborock H6 Adapt will trap it in the filters so it doesn’t expel it into the air.
The small screen is easy to read, it’s easy to switch power modes, and Carpet Boost is a nice touch when vacuuming because it automatically increases the suction for you. The suction on this vacuum is always strong too, and it picked up everything in its path.
